I have listened to all the Sookie books and I agree with several other listeners....the series should have ended several books back. This was a tired end to the series. I think Charlaine ran out of motivation on this one. It was almost as if she didn't write it. There were minor character nuances that were different in this book than from any other books in the series which detracted from the characters. Even the plot was a hodge podge of different stoies mashed together about all the people Sookie had "wronged" and their attempts to seek revenge. I can't even say I'm glad I read it to know how it "ended" because it was so predictable! Not a good send off for your beloved characters Charlaine....shame on you.
This has been one of the best non-fiction books I have read on food. This author presented the information in a interesting manner. Revulsive the practices the big food industries employ to fill their coffers and retain their market shares.
I've always enjoyed Ellery Quuen mysteries. This is a typical one with all the expected twists, turns and Ellery brooding. The narrator did a good job giving voice to the characters. Would recommend to detective story fans.
