A renowned rake, Cameron Mackenzie doesn't care if Ainsley Douglas has a virtuous excuse for sneaking around his bedchamber. He only cares that she's at his mercy. One kiss at a time, he plans to seduce her. But what starts out as a lusty diversion may break Cam's own rules.

If you could sum up The Many Sins of Lord Cameron in three words, what would they be?

    Great Mackenzie family.

What did you like best about this story?

    How close the family is.

Would you be willing to try another one of Angela Dawe’s performances?

I will listen to Hart's story but I'll have to listen to it at 1.25 speed on my iPad. It's the only way to get past Ms. Dawe's hesitation when she read.

    Any additional comments?

This was a really good book but the narration leaves a lot to be desired. Once I finish this series I will never listen to another book narrated by Ms. Dawe.

I first read this book in July 2012 and was just to lazy to review it, along with the first 300 books I read when I got my Kindle in 2011. Well, I read it again yesterday while I listened to it on the audible version. AND again I just loved it.
Loved Julian and Chloe. Loved Anthony, Edgar, Leo and Lady Evelyn. Absolutely hated Beatrice and Arthur.
Love, love, loved the sexual tension and the sex. Sex that happened four or five times but was not too graphic after the first time. It really was beautifully done. I love the Wherlockes and the Vaughns. I've already started If He's Sinful, which I also read in 2012, and listening to it on audible.

As to the narrator: Just great. Ashford MacNab is one of the best ones out there. The men sounded like men instead of girly. She could use a little more emotion but as long and the men sound like they are supposed to I'm good with that.

I read this book and finished it and left a 5 star review on March 29, 2013 on Amazon. Then it came out on audible and it was only $1.99 since I owned the book. So, like a dummy, I bought it.What an absolute nightmare. Cherry, Sky, Freddy, Felix, Frannie and James all sounded the same: Like a girl. The worst part is when Sky and Cherry had sex. It was like listening to 2 girls. Needless to say, I'm not finishing this audio. I'll just remember how good it was just reading it. I would never listen to Valerie Gilbert again. When a narrator can't even TRY to lower her voice to sound manly she shouldn't be a narrator.

I suggest you listen to the sample and listen when Sky talks to Cherry and you'll see that I'm right.

I got this book and the audio together so I'm going to review them together.

So, Part of this book deserves 3 stars. The storyline deserves 5 stars.
3 stars would be for the narration, (sometimes.) Ryan West did give Kade a really sexy sightly British accent. But sometimes he sounded like a hesitant-talking William Shatner. You remember?? And the book really wasn't erotic. There was a LOT of serious sexual tension, long before they ever got together. They watched a couple for a few minutes at a fetish club and at the end of the book Kade mentioned spanking Sidney but that's as far as that went (I would have stopped reading/listening if he'd ever spanked her. That's just stupid IMO.)
After the first time they made love I had to skim over the other times they did it. The talk was sooo completely ridiculous. I don't mind sex talk but at least make it sound real.

I liked the secondary characters: Tristan, Tony, Ada and Luca.. Simone and Asgear were more than a little whacked.

Overall, it was a good story but I don't think I'll be reading anything else by this author. Even though this wasn't really erotica I'm afraid the next one might be and I DO NOT read erotica. I didn't notice that word in the reviews before I got it and if I had I never would have gotten this book to begin with.

And there was a lot of dialogue, which I really liked.

As to the narrator: As I said he did sound a lot like Willian Shatner at times. He was great with Kade's British accent and Luca's aussie accent. And he was just ok with the women's voices.

One reviewer called this narrator "horrible" in 2012 and she was absolutely right. She would make the perfect voice for a robot and she does nothing to change her voice, even a little, when the men talk. If there's sex in this book I know it will sound like two women doing it but when I'm reading about a man and woman I want them to sound like a man and woman. I would have to pass on ever listening to this narrator again. I will finish this book by just reading it. I gave the story and the overall 3 stars to be fair to the author because it did seem like it would be a good book.

Good story but it looses a star for three reasons: 1) The letters SOB were used 50 times in this book. That is ridiculous!
    2) The word perp/perps was used 76 times and that's even more ridiculous. And 3) Kyle did not smile until the very last page of the book. One reviewer said they were both angry through the whole story but I have to say it was mostly Kyle. In Fear For Me Kyle and Cadence were in that book quite a bit and I never notice them/him being so angry or I might have skipped this book.
All that being said, I did enjoy the story. Liked the secondary characters: Ben, Dani, Heather, Aaron Peters, Jason Marsh, Captain Anniston and Lily. Not my favorite of the series but I still liked it.

As for the narrator: She did a marvelous job. With the voices as well as with emotions. She laughed, cried, yelled, whispered, you name it and she did it. Just wonderful..

Hmm.. 309 four and five star reviews and 24 one and two stars? I guess we know who wins on deciding what's a good book and what isn't.

Personally, I loved this book and I'm starting the next one when I finish this review.

I really liked Anthony and Lauren, great twosome.
Liked Cadence and Kyle too. Their's is the book I'm reading next.
Hate, hate, hated the Butcher. And I was surprised at the twist in the book after I started it.
As far as the sex goes? If some of those who complain about it did a little bit of research they would have know there was sex in this series. Makes me wonder why they didn't check a little harder. When I look at a book to buy I do a word search for the word "sex" in the book and that makes my decision. If there's no sex in it I don't buy the book. It's that simple. AND I wish people would stop exaggerating about how much sex there is. That's really unfair to the author and other readers. I think I remember 3 times they had sex. That really isn't a lot. Just sayin'

As for the narrator: Ms. Beresford did a great job. All the men sounded like men and her southern accent was very good. What I really liked were her emotions. She whispered, yelled, laughed. Just wonderful.

I got this book and the audible version free with my KindleUnlimited yesterday afternoon. The audio is 10 hours and 56 minutes long and I was up until 4:00 this morning finishing it.
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Loved Dane and Katherine/Kat/Katelynn/Katie. The secondary characters, Mac, Ronnie, Harley, Marcus and Ross, were wonderful. There was 2 seriel killers but Valentine/Michael was the scariest and the main killer in this book.
One reviewer gave the impression that Dane and Katherine fell in love in a very, very short time but I certainly didn't get that impression. Another made it sound like it was mostly sex and not enough storyline and that couldn't be further from the truth. There really was just enough sex but not nearly enough build up to it.
One great read and I highly recommend it. Now, I'm off to read Fear For Me.

As to the narrator: She was OK. She did do some men's voices but they sounded kind of angry every time they spoke or, like Mac, they sounded a little girly. She wasn't the greatest but she wasn't the worst either. I will listen to the next book in the series.

So, this is what I wrote when I reviewed Worth Dying For, the third book in this series, "I'm going to read Dying for Love now, Amelia's story, but this one is a little iffy for me. She was whacked during all the other books so I'm not so sure she can ever be better."

Well, guess what? This was my favorite book of the entire series. I absolutely loved John and Amelia.
And what a great ending, or not. There really is room for another book or ten but as far as I'm concerned this is the end for me.
I've had enough of Slaughter Creek but not enough of Rita Herron.
This book didn't have as much sex as the others did but that was a good thing. Amelia was portrayed as still being fragile so too much sex wouldn't have been good, she would have been too much like Viola.
This was a great series and I do recommend it.

I got this book and the audio free with my KindleUnlimited.

As to the narrator: Tanya Eby did a spectacular job on all four of the books in this series. Her range of voices is simply wonderful.

OK, so this is the third book in the Slaughter Creek series and my least favorite, even though I really, really liked it. I would have given it 5 stars if Liz hadn't pulled a TSTL twice. I can understand an author wanting to have their heroine to seem strong but not stupid. Liz should have called Rafe as back-up but she was a little to stubborn and got her rear-end taken by a killer. Rafe came in and saved her only to have the same thing happen the next day with a different killer. Again she knew she should call Rafe and didn't. That cost this book a star.I did love Rafe and Jake and Nick. I liked that you had a choice of possible bad guys: Six, Castor, Truitt, Roper and Harlon. As well as our favorite villain, Arthur Blackwood. And I have to say that even though Six was crazy I could certainly understand why he killed those nurses. (I only condone murder in books.) LOL..
I'm going to read Dying for Love now, Amelia's story, but this one is a little iffy for me. She was whacked during all the other book so I'm not so sure she can ever be better.

I got this book and the audio version free with my KindleUnlimited.

As to the narrator: Wonderful! Ms. Eby did a fabulous job on all three of the book so far and I'm sure she'll do just as good a job on the 4th one. Everyone has their own voice and every man sounds just like a man.

This was pretty dark but I loved it. I loved Nick and Brenda and it was nice seeing Jake again. Ms. Herron made Arthur Blackwood sooo easy to absolutely hate. He truly was a monster. What he did to Nick and Seven was unbelivable. This was truly a page turner.
I did feel sorry for Seven but she was just crazy.
This had some really brutal sex in it but it also had some romantic sex. Seven had the brutal, Nick and Brenda had the romantic.
So, I'm off to read the next book, Worth Dying For.
