Hiccup was a truly extraordinary Viking Hero, Warrior chieftain, awesome sword-fighter and amateur naturalist. He was known throughout Vikingdom as 'the Dragon Whisperer' on account of his power over these terrifying beasts. But it wasn't always like that.

Would you consider the audio edition of How to Train Your Dragon to be better than the print version?

Having read the print books (yes, my kid has those too!) aloud rather a lot, Tennant manages to iron out some of the not-quite-rolling-off-the-tongue aspects of the style.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

To reach for the next book.

What about David Tennant’s performance did you like?

David Tennant does all the character voices - makes you feel like you're a kid again.

    Any additional comments?

Great for big and little kids!

It's their very first adventure and the Secret Seven super-sleuths are already on the trail of a mystery! The gang are dressed in disguise, following a lead to a spooky old house in the snow... When a priceless pearl necklace goes missing the Secret Seven are first off the mark to catch the thief! Why? Because they saw him making his escape! Now all they have to do is find the necklace.

This version is lots of fun with the children's voices making it more engaging (my 9 year old son is riveted!). It's seldom that you can find British narrators in the .com site, the pom accent adds authenticity to these nostalgic stories. Highly recommended!
