It was immediate for Roman. In 3,000 years, he'd never lost control of his emotions, or his heart. But the moment he laid eyes on Evelynne Farrow, he knew she was the woman who haunted his dreams. And everything changed. Everything. Evie Farrow has always loved a good vampire romance. In fact, she makes a living writing them. While sitting in a coffee shop and working on her next mega-hot book, Evie is approached by a tall, dark, and handsome man who could have been pulled directly from one of her novels.

    Story

This was a fantastic story! Wow I just loved it, I read it in one sitting I couldn't put it down. This book would be getting 10 stars if there had been more dialogue in it. For me dialogue is very important when reading a book. Even though this one was lacking in dialogue I have to admit it was still a great read/listen I am hoping the rest of the series will have more.

The characters were fantastic, so many varieties of characters and powers, its magical, and opens up a whole new world.

AHH Roman...now that's what I call a Vampire! The story was great. The sex was mild and minimal but it was there, barely, but it was there.

    Credit worthy? OH YES.

This is book 2 in the New York Times and USA Today best-selling paranormal romance Accidentally Yours series. "If you love her, set her free. If she comes back, she's yours. If she doesn't...Christ! Stubborn woman! Hunt her down, and bring her the hell back; she's still yours according to vampire law."

Ahhh this book was much better than the first. The Heroine, Helena was a lot less stupid and whiny than Emma from the first book. The story line was good, the chemistry was good, there was plenty of dialogue. The hero was very sexy and smart. A nicely written sex scene too.

Oh and Cimil is great, Love her! Someone said she reminded them of Nucking Futs Nix from Kresley Cole Immortals After Dark series, and she does a little, The character is somewhat similar but of course Nix is still the very best.

This book was also NOT written in the first person which I think also made the book even better.

I have already started the third book and guess what?? Yep its written in the first person so we get all those constant thoughts and blah blah blah's again like the first book.. oh well..

As to the narrator, she is getting better and I really enjoyed her narration in this story a lot more than the first. She did better character voices and the men's voices sounded much better. Keep improving on that narration Helen Wick its paying off!

    Credit worthy? Yes.

Emma Keane is your average city girl trying to get a date. There's just one thing holding her back: the disembodied male voice speaking to her through her mind. Sound kind of crazy? Maybe. But crazy turns downright deadly when the voice persuades her to travel to the wilds of the Mayan jungle. There she will free his body - his incredibly hot, muscled, naked body.

    Story

Where to start? This is a hard review to leave, because I liked the story enough to buy the second book. But.... It was very frustrating at times. I am not a huge fan of books written in the first person and most of this book was written that way, some was not (which was the better).

The heroine Emma was very annoying and did some really stupid things a lot of the time, She was so hot/cold, up/down, right/left, back and forth... I actually found my self yelling at her for being stupid and not thinking about what was going on around her rather than her stupid feelings. This guy has been in your head and saved you almost your whole life but you are going to question him and listen to others??? DUH!!!! of course you are! GRRRR..

Other than the stupidity on her part sometimes it was a good story. There was a lot of dialogue (which I like), sexual chemistry (in between her hot and cold thoughts) and a nicely written sex scene towards the end. The story was good but would have been better without the writing in the first person and the stupidity.

Like I said, I did buy the second book and started it. Luckily its not written in the first person! So we are already off to a better start.

As for the narrator, she is okay, I have listened to worse, but she is far from the best. She does not do the men's voices very well, they sound to feminine for my liking.

I have to give this one 3.5 stars because of the heroine's annoying frustrating feelings causing her to do dumb things. And the fact that it was mostly written in the first person, which I think is what caused the heroine to be stupid, we had to listen to her thoughts and assumptions way too much!

I am hoping the second book is better and we have a less annoying stupid heroine.

Lady Emily Clearbrook secretly loved the Earl of Stonebridge, but one day, he left her without a word. Now, years later, the man mysteriously reappears and battles Emily's four brawny brothers to woo her again. But the bigger battle seems to be with Emily! This sweet historical romance series, about a duke's family, includes delightful, heartwarming love stories that bring the Regency period to life.

The narration was so bad the book suffered even more. The story it's self just was okay, the characters were just okay. There was a lot of dialogue (which I did like). Zero sex in this book so its rated G. There was kissing, that's it.
This story could have been much better.

Ruined by the narration. All the men sounded like old scratchy high pitch voiced idiots.

I don't think I will ever listen to this narrator again.

All Grace Gauthier ever wanted was the security of a good marriage, family, and home. Instead, despised by her aristocratic father's family because of her mother's foreign birth, she's taken a safe position as a governess. Now, unprotected and alone in London, accused of the shocking murder of her employer, she has no one to turn to except the mysterious - and possibly dangerous - Lord Ruthveyn.

I did enjoy this story, it was interesting. There was a murder mystery story line and plot to go with the romance story. I liked the hero and the heroine a lot. I really liked the secondary character of Anisha, the hero's sister. There was plenty of dialogue. Some good chemistry and sex scenes, not a rated G book.

I am still debating moving on to the next book in the series. As I liked this story it didn't grab my impulse to immediately buy the next book. Still thinking on it...

As for the narrator she did a very good job. Everyone had their own distinct voice and she did the men pretty good.

Being good has worked out very badly for Lady Olivia Archer. All she has to show for four seasons on the marriage mart is the nickname Prissy Missy. Her prospects are so bleak that her parents have betrothed her to a stranger with a dire reputation. If Phinneas Cole - aka The Mad Baron - wants a biddable bride, perhaps Olivia can frighten him off by breaking every ladylike rule.

I am really enjoying this series so far. The characters are great, The Hero and Heroine are strong with great chemistry and sexual tension. Lots of dialogue, (I like lots of dialogue in my books). Nice well written sex scenes and an enjoyable story.

All in all it has all the elements I enjoy in a book.

The narrator did a great job. everyone had their own voice and she did a great job on the men's voices.

Love this series, Love the Lore, Love all the characters in this world. Love Lanthe and Thonos! I look forward to every one of these books in IAD series. I usually get bored after about the 8th book in a series but not this one, I could never get bored with. I do hope there is another book to follow. Would like a Nix book. (who wouldn't).........

Someone left a review what this book was left in a cliffhanger! WRONG DO NOT BELIEVE THAT REVIEW. There is NO CLIFFHANGER. It is just as good as all the previous books.

Love Love Love Robert Petkoff! Best male narrator ever!

    Story

I have read this whole series and this was by far the worst. I loved the first book, Noble Intentions, its actually one of my favorites, however I read it, I did not listen to it and I am glad for that. This narrator is not very good at all.

This story was just stupid. It seems to author tried so hard to make it funny it turned out to just be really stupid and it took away from the funny moments.

The only plus I could find is there was lots of dialogue.

The heroine did start out fun and enjoyable but after a several chapters went down hill from there and she just became dumb. There was nothing very good about the hero either, he was just blah.

I would recommend the first book in this series for reading not listening.

No this book was not credit worthy, and that was disappointing to me.

The narrator added to to ruination of this book.

I enjoyed this story. I really liked the hero and the heroine in this book. I thought the chemistry was good and the sex scenes were nicely written. The story flowed well throughout the book, and was not full of filler moments. I would have liked a bit more dialogue, (I like a lot of dialogue) but there was still enough and the story was pretty fast paced.

I liked that this book was NOT filled with a lot of misunderstanding's, via thoughts.

I do plan on reading the rest of the series, it captured my attention and I to want to know what happens to the other characters.

As to the narrator, Rosalyn Landor. She was fine. Not my favorite, but not my least favorite either. She makes the men sound like men and the ladies sound like ladies, however her reading voice does sometimes sound like the men..

Great chemistry between Blake and Emma, with a couple very nicely written sex scenes.
    Loved the story line.

I really like this authors writing style. I have read\listened to all her books in The Writing Girls Series.

The narrator did a great job. I really like listening to Carolyn Morris, she is relaxing to listen too and she does give all the characters their own distinct voice and does the men's voices well.

This was my least favorite of the series. But it was still good. I liked finally finding out what happened to Adele and Julia. There was lots of dialogue. It seemed the chemistry between the hero and heroine was not up to par as the rest of the series. There was a few steamy moments though,

The narrator was just great. All the characters had their own distinct voices, and she did the men's voices really well. I like Marian Hussey as a narrator.

NOTE-If you read this series start with Scots, Spies, and Salacious Lies. Its 3 novellas and helps with understanding all the characters as this series continues to develop.

A Lady Revealed, which is not listed with this series on audible but is available on audible.

Compromised for Christmas (novella) (story one in Scots, Spies and Salacious Lies)
Landing a Laird (novella) (story two in Scots, Spies and Salacious Lies)
    A Misguided Lord
    A Perfect Gentleman
Devil in Her Dreams (novella) (story three in Scots Spies and Salacious Lies)
    A Lass for Christmas (novella)
