What did you love best about Iron Lake?

I love James Lee Burke, that is what first got my attention. I am also a big fan of series in books. Great story with a great performance. I am also from Minnesota with family in Duluth, so that is another "hook". Well worth the credit.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Kept my interest through out the whole book

What does David Chandler bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Great voice's, brought the book to life

In the summer of 1963, nine-year-old spitfire Starla Claudelle runs away from her strict grandmother's Mississippi home. Starla hasn't seen her momma since she was three - that's when Lulu left for Nashville to become a famous singer. If she can get to Nashville and find her momma, then all that she promised will come true: Lulu will be a star. Daddy will come to live in Nashville, too. And her family will be whole and perfect.

    Any additional comments?

I listen to books almost 24/7. I have listen to many, many good books, this book touched my heart, kept my interest from first word to the last. I go to bed with my book going (helps to shut the head down) usually I am asleep within 10-I5 minutes. I had just started the book and 2.5 hours later made myself turn the book off. It was just so good that I couldn't "turn off", but wanted to keep going. Entertaining, made me laugh through out and as I said touched my heart. One of the best books that I have listened too. Don't pass it by.

In 1989 Ken Follett astonished the literary world with The Pillars of the Earth, set in 12th-century England. Readers and listeners ever since have hoped for a sequel. At last, here it is. Although the two novels may be listened to in any order, World Without End also takes place in Kingsbridge, two centuries after the townspeople finished building their exquisite Gothic cathedral. The cathedral is again at the center of a web of love and hate, greed and pride, ambition and revenge.

Laura says: "Repetitive, but still enjoyable"

After listening to Pillar of the Earth, I couldn't wait to download this one. Pillar of the Earth kept my attention just allitle bit more, but recommend this book as a good listen, truely enjoyed it.

Marion and Shiva Stone are twin brothers born of a secret union between a beautiful Indian nun and a brash British surgeon at a mission hospital in Addis Ababa. Orphaned by their mother's death in childbirth and their father's disappearance, bound together by a preternatural connection and a shared fascination with medicine, the twins come of age as Ethiopia hovers on the brink of revolution. Yet it will be love, not politics - their passion for the same woman - that will tear them apart.
