This was my first Terry Pratchett book. I am going to get the whole Discworld series now.
I have been listening to this version of A Christmas Carol for a few years now. This is delightful and Tim Curry is a great reader. Not too long for a family to listen of an evening a week long.
This was a great story...cannot wait to read more from this author. Character development is good for the main characters...very likeable, too. The story moves right from the beginning and will keep children interested.
Not your typical Brandon Sanderson novel. I like the story but not as good as his other work. I love the Mistborn trilogy, the Stormlight Archive books, Alloy of Law, Rithmatist, the Alcatraz Smedry books and others are better reads.
I liked the reader very much.
Good end to the trilogy. I enjoyed it very much. The different readers for the different persons and their points of view are nice. You can associate a reader with a character and their personality.
The story seemed interesting and I think would have been a good find but the language is too much. Simon Vance is a great reader and I love the James Bond books he reads and the Queen's Dragon series.
The story didn't grab me and I didn't want to continue listening because of the bad language. Getting harder to find clean books.
There is a fair bit of language in this one. Story seemed good and I like the writer but I stopped listening.
I like the idea of the hero finding himself in a no-win situation and making the best of it. Having to win over others to his side and battling an event that doesn't understand his 100-treat old morality.
Thwack! Clank! Aiyeeee! Thud! The fight was over in moments. I'd rather get a description of the fight than sound effects. The bell tolled ominously is better than BONG...BONG...BONG! I gave it three stars across the board because I didn't like Modesitt's sound effects.
I didn't get far enough to make a recommendation.
