In The Dragon Factory, Ledger and his team from the Department of Military Sciences square off against two separate groups of corrupt scientists. The beautiful but twisted Jakoby Twins are creating transgenic monsters and genetically enhanced mercenaries for sale to the highest bidder. Their father, who takes evil to an entirely new level, is using cutting-edge science to complete the Nazi master-race program.

Would you listen to The Dragon Factory again? Why?

Ray Porter is by far THE BEST narrator I have ever listened to!!! Combined with Maberry's grasp of the written and spoken word, these two are a team supreme!!! Dragon factory has it all and makes you want to go back and listen to it again...

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Dragon Factory?

Combining action, adventure, scary science, world politics, witticisms, drama, passion and just some of the best one liner smart ass comments, Joe Ledger and Echo Team along with the rest of the DMS bring it together. Mr. Church and his patent "I have a friend in the industry..." Always evokes a smile...

    Which scene was your favorite?

Without ruining the book for the first timers; Joe and Grace's words and exchange at the end of the book move the mind, body and soul to action... Maberry is a genius at painting the scene with words!!!

When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills - and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle....

Kim Venatries says: "Yes! It IS that good. Five stars and more."

What did you love best about Patient Zero?

The story is non-stop, action packed and filled with such expletive detail both fiction and non that you can believe that this may be a first hand report from a tactical operation. I am a 21 year veteran of the US Army and have known operators as well as called them friends, this series honors what those men and women do for us that we will never know and can never truely apprciate... Take Jason Bourne, Jack Ryan, Ethan Hunt and Jet Li and you have Joe Ledger.

What did you like best about this story?

As I said before, non-stop, action packed and takes the characters to the brink of human endurance and beyond. The author lets you into the characters minds and souls. Some you like what you see because you see yourself in them, others you don't because he lets you see the ugliness that humans posses in their souls. A deep meaningful message wrapped in the candy coating of and action thriller...

Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favorite?

By far, Mr. Church... Reminded me of John F. Kennedy in voice and mannerisms blended with the finality of God!!!!

If you could take any character from Patient Zero out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would love to have a long conversation with Mr. Church, his easy calm, his assuring presence and decades of experience would make and evening of intrigue and a realization of the harsh realities that surround us.
