Sunshine State trivia buff Serge A. Storms loves eliminating jerks and pests. His drug-addled partner Coleman loves cartoons. Hot stripper Sharon Rhodes loves cocaine, especially when purchased with rich dead men's money. On the other hand, there's Sean and David, who love fishing and are kind to animals - and who are about to cross paths with a suitcase filled with $5 million in stolen insurance money. Serge wants the suitcase. Sharon wants the suitcase. Coleman wants more drugs... and the suitcase.

I often wonder, as I listen to these books... What kind of crazy, sick, twisted, warped, thoughts must be rolling around in Tim Dorsey's head on a daily basis. To come up with all those highly inventive ways to kill. Does he just walk the aisles of Home Depot for inspiration?!? Serge is just a moral enforcer of epic proportion, you gotta love the guy! I really hope Triggerfish Twist is released soon! Thanks for all the great books! Highly Recommended!

Jacky Faber, rich from her exploits diving for Spanish gold, has purchased the Lorelei Lee to carry passengers across the Atlantic. Believing she has been absolved of past sins against the Crown, Jacky docks in London to take on her crew, but is instead arrested and sentenced to life in the newly formed penal colony in Australia. To add insult to injury, the Lorelei Lee is confiscated to carry Jacky and more than 200 female convicts to populate New South Wales.

I loved it! I love them all! I know very little of world history. If I knew more, I know these books would be even better, if that was possible. From the little I do know, it is fun to hear the names and to have Jackie spending time with these characters. It makes you feel like you know a little secrect and you are, in a small way, involved in these historical moments in time. Not only are these books fun all on their own, they give you a idea of what was going on all over the world, a much larger point of view of the time period. I hope they just keep on going until Jackie is old and grey! Thanks for writing such great books and choosing the PERFECT narrator for them!

Carolyn Meyer's historical fiction, such as Marie, Dancing, is popular for its unique perspectives. Loving Will Shakespeare is the tale of Agnes Anne Hathaway. There are few details known about the girl who - though eight years his senior - would eventually become wife to the Bard. Meyer's imagining of her story will inspire listeners to learn more.

Loving Will Shakespeare gave me a interesting and personal look into the past through the eyes of Agnes Anne Hathaway. A wonderful narration, which draws you in and gives you a vivid mental picture of how life really was during this time period. Give it a listen!

Since the day her mother died, Jem has known about the numbers. Numbers that pop into her head when she looks into someone’s eyes. They’re dates, the numbers. Dates predicting with brute accuracy each person’s death. Burdened by such grim knowledge, Jem avoids relationships. Until she meets Spider, another outsider, and takes a chance. Maybe they can find happiness together, if only in the brief time that remains before his expiration date.

I purchased this and several other audiobooks the other day. I like to listen to the first few minutes of each, to see which book I want to start with... This book made me forget I was sampling. Hooked me right away! Has a great Narrator, very smooth! The Narrator sounds like she is telling the story, not reading it. I enjoyed this Audiobook and would recommend it to others! Great writing!

  • Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal

Verily, the story Biff has to tell is a miraculous one, filled with remarkable journeys, magic, healings, kung fu, corpse reanimations, demons, and hot babes. Even the considerable wiles and devotion of the Savior's pal may not be enough to divert Joshua from his tragic destiny. But there's no one who loves Josh more (except maybe "Maggie," Mary of Magdalan) and Biff isn't about to let his extraordinary pal suffer and ascend without a fight.

For the many people who are interested in learning more about Buddhism, here is a primer on Buddhism and Buddhist practice written in a deceptively simple manner, with an engaging, gentle humor and flavor. Adrienne Howley's purpose is to demystify Buddhism, stripping away the layers of ritual and iconography that have grown up around it over the centuries, and to present the original, basic tenets and practices.
