Earl Harbinger may be the leader of Monster Hunter International, but he's also got a secret. Nearly a century ago, Earl was cursed to be a werewolf. When Earl receives word that one of his oldest foes, a legendarily vicious werewolf that worked for the KGB, has mysteriously appeared in the remote woods of Michigan, he decides to take care of some unfinished business.

Would you consider the audio edition of Monster Hunter Alpha to be better than the print version?

havent read the printed version, I drive alot so I listen to most of my books. The narrorator for this series is by FAR my favorite of any books.

What did you like best about this story?

This book along with the rest of the series are just plain fun to listen to. The story is not so indepth that you have to pay attention to every single second and if you miss a few minutes you are not totally lost when you come back.

    Any additional comments?

probably my favorite series of books ever, just a plain ol' fun read.

Survivors is the all-new soul-shattering climax to the postapocalyptic trilogy, featuring a deadly virus, military action, global devastation - and zombies. A lot can change in three months: Wars can be decided, nations can be forged...or entire species can be brought to the brink of annihilation. The Morningstar Virus, an incredibly virulent disease, has swept the face of the planet, infecting billions. The infected hosts rampage, attacking anything that remains uninfected.

Would you try another book from Z. A. Recht and Thom Brannan and/or Oliver Wyman?

Oliver Wyman is by far my favorite narrator of audibooks. His character voices are so realistic it helps form a picture of what the character looks like. I would buy an audiobook just based on him reading it.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I read a lot of reviews that were negative and dissappointed in the ending. Most seemed to not like where Thom Brannan took the story. I do believe I could tell where Recht left off and Brannan took over but I have no problems with the direction he took with the story.

In 1968, after the first zombie outbreak, Wanda Mayhall and her three young daughters discover the body of a teenage mother during a snowstorm. Wrapped in the woman's arms is a baby - stone-cold, not breathing, and without a pulse. But then his eyes open and look up at Wanda, and he begins to move. The family hides the child - whom they name Stony - rather than turn him over to authorities who would destroy him. Against all scientific reason, the undead boy begins to grow....

kept my interest but the timeline in the story did seem to jump around a bit. The narrator did an excellent job, he had a good storytelling voice and fantastic voice for the characters.
