Rick Reilly has been a senior sports writer for Sports Illustrated for the past 17 years, and has been named "Sports Writer of The Year" seven times. Now, he pokes his nose into the world of golf. How does he do it? By caddying ("looping") for top players, celebrities, and some really bad run-of-the-mill golfers, Reilly gains insight into the minds of golfers, their winning or less-than-winning ways, and what they actually mutter when they're in the middle of play.

This is the most humorous book I have listened to in years. I have listened to it at least 5 times. The narator is perfect for this recording. Even if you don't understand or like golf you will find this book entertaining!

The Executive Board of an exclusive men's club meets to talk about 9/11 and finalize a retaliation plan, known by a code name: Wild Fire. That weekend, a member of the Federal Anti-Terrorist Task Force is found dead. It's up to Detective John Corey and his wife, FBI Agent Kate Mayfield, to unravel a terrifying plot that starts with the Custer Hill Club and ends with American cities locked in the crosshairs of a nuclear device.

Joseph says: "Good, but the series is getting forced."
    "Demille & Brick Rock"
    Overall

As with all Demille titles this is a great listen. It keeps your attention and the story is set in modern events and could be true. Scott Brick is an outstanding narrator. The main character John Corry and his wife and side kick Kate really make the story.

  • The Company: A Novel of the CIA

    • UNABRIDGED (41 hrs and 22 mins)
    • By Robert Littell
    • Narrated By Scott Brick
    Overall

    Performance

    Story
    (2200)

"If Robert Littell didn't invent the American spy novel," says Tom Clancy, "he should have." In this spectacular Cold-War-as-Alice-in-Wonderland epic, Littell, "the American le Carre," takes us down the rabbit hole and into the labyrinthine world of espionage that has been the CIA for the last half-century. "Ostensibly a single novel, The Company can also be listened to as an anthology of cracking good spy stories," says (Publishers Weekly).

Cynthia says: "Hang on to your Hat"
    "A Great Read"
    Overall

I was hesitant to listen to a book this long but when it ended I wanted more. This book follows the same CIA officers through recruitment after WWII through the 1980's. You come to know them and relate to them. The book is easy to follow and holds your attention. As always Scott Brick does an outstanding Job!

  • Conspiracy of Fools: A True Story, Volume 2

    • UNABRIDGED (14 hrs and 14 mins)
    • By Kurt Eichenwald
    • Narrated By Robertson Dean
    Overall

    Story

Say the name 'Enron' and most people believe they've heard all about the story that imperiled a presidency, destroyed a marketplace, and changed Washington and Wall Street forever. But in the hands of Kurt Eichenwald, the players we think we know and the business practices we think have been exposed are transformed into entirely new, and entirely gripping, material. Conspiracy of Fools is an all-true financial and political thriller of cinematic proportions.

    Margaret says: "Congratulations!"
    "Outstanding!"

This is a real page turner or should I say a real CD changer!

    "Outstanding!!!!"
    Overall

Both volumes are 26 CD's long and I found myself not wanting to get out of my car at the end of the day. This book will take you inside the Enron situation and allow you to really understand how it was created and how it could have been stoped along the way. The first person narative really keeps you interest all the way through!
