This is a great series that takes place in a small French village. Why in the world do they have the most British man in the universe narrating it? This book cries out for a narrator with a French accent or at least a neutral accent. The narrator is very good but should not be narrating this particular series. It is so annoying I intend to read the rest of the series instead of listening to it.
Somebody with a French accent.
I am one of those people who loses interest easily. For example I couldn't make it through Divergent although I really liked the movie. This audio book held my interest easily. So many interesting characters. My favorite was the tempormental house. This isn't the very best audio book I have ever listened to but it was very enjoyable. Not great literature but great fun. I am here today to get the other two books in the series.
The house that takes things.
She was good.
A narrator with a French or neutral accent would have made this audio book spectacular.
The narrator has an upper class British accent. Bruno is a lower class French person. The British accent is completely distracting. The narrator would be great for a James Bond novel but ruins this book.
I loved the story and will read the other novels in the series instead of listening to them.
I kept thinking the story was going to get better but it never did.
The narrator was somewhat boring.
No reaction besides wasting time & credit.
