This is what a meditation audio should be. It's brief and includes four or five guided meditations of around ten minutes each, along with brief discussions by the author before and after each meditation.

Executive meditation coach Mark Thornton writes about a revolution: finding your deepest heart in everyday moments. In Meditation in a New York Minute, Thornton demystifies meditation and makes it accessible to all. He presents his complete program for enjoying the many benefits of meditation: stress reduction, energy, intense mental clarity, in a New York minute. "If your life is moving at warp speed," begins Thornton, "more than ever, you need to create calm quickly and profoundly."

    Kathleen says: "Well spent time"
"Meditation in a minute? Not here!"
    Overall

Low on practical exercises, high on really boring talk, and a very annoying UK (I believe) accent make this painful to listen to. When something is titled, "Meditation in a NY Minute," you expect a series of one-minute meditations, not endless self-important babble about how the author was "chosen" to teach.

Now you can transform driving, shopping, or waiting in line into calming experiences of mindfulness. This unique audio course was carefully distilled from Jack Kornfield's most popular retreat, a 5-week workshop on mindful meditation. Kornfield shows listeners how to benefit from the 2,500-year-old system for becoming fully aware of how our actions in each moment create the fabric of our lives.

    Nikos says: "Excellent!!!"
    "Boring, dated, impractical"
    Overall

This is actually a recording of classes the author conducted at a retreat somewhere -- probably Topanga Canyon or somewhere else that is forever stuck in the 60s. Personally, I was writhing in pain just listening to it because a lot of it is back-and-forth chatter with members of the audience and why on earth would they include that? I would recommend this author's shorter and more-to-the-point "Meditation for Beginners," which is also available here on Audible. But stay far away from this one.

  • The Price

    • ORIGINAL (1 hr and 48 mins)

Arthur Miller's deeply moving drama reunites two long-estranged middle-aged brothers. Nostalgia and recrimination erupt as they sell off an attic of furniture, their last link to a family and a world that no longer exist. This 1968 classic is a wrenching saga of plaintive gestures and missed opportunities. A BBC co-production.

Gwynne says: "Not terrific, but worth a listen"
    "Great cast and production"
    Overall

This a stellar production, great for audio. The performances are top notch all around. If you like Miller, you'll enjoy this tremendously (although it's not one of his best plays.)
