In the third volume of The Dark Tower, Roland, the last gunslinger, is moving ever closer to the Dark Tower that haunts his dreams and nightmares. But he is no longer alone. He has trained Eddie and Susannah, who entered Mid-World from their separate whens in New York City in The Drawing of the Three, in the old ways of the gunslingers. But their ka-tet is not yet complete.

Would you listen to The Waste Lands again? Why?

This is probably the tenth time I have listened to it. I love this part of the Dark Tower series, the story about New York and I absolutely love listening to Frank Muller, rest in peace, my brother.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Waste Lands?

The most exciting part is when Jake is abducted by Gasher and Roland rescues him. The different voices that Frank does and the suspensful story line leaves you on the edge of your seat.

What about Frank Muller’s performance did you like?

What can I say, Frank Muller was a absolute magician with his voice, the only other person who comes near to his talent is Jim Dale who read the Harry Potter series. Every character Frank Muller acts is different, their personalities come alive with his readings. You are emotionally invested in the character he reads and whether they are men, or women, he makes them believable.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Well, with Frank's passing, every book he narrates makes me sad that he is gone. The whole scene in Lud is very suspenseful, so my adrenaline was racing a little.

    Any additional comments?

Frank's family is always in my prayers. He is truly missed.
