It is very informative as to the inadequacy of the present inhabitant of the White House.
It totally describes him to a T.
When discussing the first international failure this man had as a president. When he decided to go to Copenhagen and beg for the Olympics to be turned down in the first round. It describes his arrogance and amateurish behavior. As the writer says: The president should never go anywhere unless he knows the outcome but he thought that his "charisma" would win the world over.
He was a little boring. I would have had someone else do the reading.
Not everything that glitters.....
Great performance. Spell binding story. Kellerman at his absolute best. Never saw the culprit coming. Will re read soon for sure
It was tiresome and somewhat silly. Not up to Rhys usual standards.
it was tiresome.
not by a long shot
was disappointed with the story. I expect much more from the author
You never really knew who the bad person was.. Like Danny, I kept changing my mind until the very least moment.
Absolutely. It was from one unexpected plot to another even less expected.
don't have a favorite it was...to quote Ceepak "all good".
I would definitely try another book from Wilson, he is a master story writer however Dick Hill is not my favorite narrator.
Since I am listening to the series in order I will be starting Ground Zero this afternoon.
If given a choice, I would prefer not to. I did not much understand a lot of what he said...I understand there was an Asian motif bit I kept nodding off and I don't usually do that with Wilson's books.
Of course it had redeeming qualities, the master wrote and I listened, regardless of how disappointed I was in this book I will continue to listen to his stories, they are fascinating.
with this exception his stories are spell binding. So i continue to listen
On the top ten. So high up on my list that I have decided to purchase all the Repairman Jack books. Jack is an amazing guy. I feel like he is about to become one of my best friends.
It is fiction based on past events. I am old enough to remember most of what happens in his book.
Neither but then I am not too emotional.
I have not read the print version but this was a great story.
The twists that the story took at the end...totally unexpected.
I would prefer not to.... He is not pleasant to the ear but if he is linked to Christopher's writings I will have to suffer through it because the stories are awsome.
No! I am just trying to rush through another of his books now. Just keep writing Christopher!
I did listen to it again. It was worth a second listen.
Actually, Travis McGee story keeps my attention.
I do not believe I have listened to Petkoff's performance but I never pay that much attention to the performer unless he is bad.
Then I make a note not to get other books by him.
It surprised me. It was very well written. Lots of twists.
I would recommend any of the Harry Bosch series to my friends. Harry is not a likeable guy but you end up liking him.
I so wanted to know who was doing all the kills but I had a hunch. Of course, I was wrong.
I like him
Absolutely worth my time. I got to understand Harry better after knowing where he came from.
I have bought everyone of Rhys Bowens books to date. She keeps me entertained with her heroine. I feel like I personally know Georgiana.
Because I love the series I would be very happy to see a follow up book.
I would say among the top 20% rank. I liked it so much I bought five more Harry Bosch books after listening to this one.
It kept me guessing all through the book and when I finished I was quite surprised.
I was particularly moved when Eleanor was discussing her relationship with her brother and how she found out the truth of his death.
