I loved all the mythology tales! The way the narrator (Teri Schnaubelt) read the story also made it more exciting! It was like listening to the movie. All the different voices for the different characters,. I could almost see the entire book as it happened!
2 things were most memorable for me. The 1st is when Gage showed up in Florida with Bianca & Drake to save/help Camille. The 2nd most memorable part was when Grandmother had told Gage & Camille that she just killed both Drake & Bianca, thus removing the competition! WOW!!!
Yes, I have listened to Teri's narrating before & enjoyed it too!
It is a book I would like to have listened to straight thru, but it is a very long book and sleep had to come, so I finished it the next day.
Excellent book! I thought when I read description, that I might like this book. I LOVED this book! Well written storyline & plot mixing past & present together. I look forward to the next book in this series! Good job to both Author & Narrator!
Sky Noise... a well-written book about time travel. Chip has been stalking Helen Weils for quite some time. Helen always considered Chip was nuts, but always let him down easy. One day Chip corners Helen and makes her listen to him and suddenly she is in danger. Whether she wants to be or not, Helen is now involved in this sci-fi / adventure / romance / fantasy world of time travel thanks to Chip. Now Chips enemies are her enemies too or at least the enemies believe she is. Travel along with Chip and Helen as they risk their lives jumping thru history to re-write some of the wrongs in our past and every time they make a jump, it is recorded in our history books as a sky noise!
The author, Ernie Lindsey did a great job writing this book. The plot is excellent and loaded with lots of twists and turns. It is very fast paced, so pay attention or you will get lost. The narrator, Rebecca Roberts did a fantastic job delivering this story to us with all her multiple voices and only added to the thrill of the story with all her excitement!
So this is the best book yet. I laughed out loud so many times. My favorite review in this book was about "the Devil" chicken. The man padded his body up good with pillows and couch cushions to go see the chicken who attacked him the last time her saw it! During the last attack, the police had to taser the chicken. HAHAHA
This book is the 2nd volume of Village Idiot Reviews. It is a consolidation of silly reviews left by others who bought and reviewed products. It is what they used the products for that is so funny. This book will have you in stitches. The author has a way of finding just the right reviews and wording things in a way that we can read between the lines - it's not what the products were meant to be used for.
The author , Pete Sortwell did a fantastic hob on this book. He has a way of finding the funniest and / or silliest things and situations and using them in his books. This authors books reminds me of TV shows like Top 20 dumbest Criminals and Top 20 funniest videos and so on. The narrator, Chris Dabbs did an awesome job delivering us flawless multiple voices , accents and emotions! Great job to you both! Pete you are a hilarious comedian!
This is a collection of many short stories. Inside this book is something for everyone. We all will like at least 1 or 2 if not more of these stories and some of us will like them all! This audio book is done in a UK accent and author is UK, so keep in mind, some words and /or manners are more funny over there than over here in the USA and not all words mean the same thing. I happen to love listening to accents!
Some of these are funny, some are touching and some just need to be told. My favorite in this book was the story of a man whose family was killed in an accident by a drunk driver who was a lawyer and got off, along with what this man did for his own justice. It was touching and emotional and in a few minutes, tore my heart out! I loved it. To listen as this man told his story is unforgettable.
The author, Pete Sortwell did another fine job writing this book. His narrator, Ian Barker did a splendid job with all his multiple voices and there was a lot of them too! I loved the emotion added into the voices! Good job guys!
This book is very funny. This is a comedy about different quips of items for sale and short stories done in multiple voices. The material is refreshingly funny. My favorite (if I was to pick one) was the man running in a political race / also a real race. Along with the silly string & six packs.
Pete Sortwell, the author has his own style when it comes to comedy and it seems like he never runs out of material. He is witty & funny & makes me laugh my bottom off! His narrator, Tony Scheinman did a good job delivering these funny lines to us with so many different voices, which only added to the charm. Great job guys!
This is a laugh your butt off comedy. Book 2 Bride and Gloom, which is carried over from Book 1 Dating in the Dark is about a man who is getting married with the help of his friends.
In Book 1, Jason had pretended he was blind so he could get dates on the Disabled Dating network. Jason's friends had enlightened Jason as to how a blind woman can tell if someone isn't blind, which Jason hadn't thought of or even researched.
Now in Book 2, Jason is getting married to Emma. His friends are going to help him get ready for the big day. In this book Barry, Jason's bff is hilarious. The stunts Barry pulls, not to mention anything that could go wrong the at the last minute does, thanks to Barry. I loved the fear Jason had at the church when Barry had Jason sweating bullets!
A totally hilarious look at what it is like for a guy to get married when he has clowns for friends and OH Yeah Russian Vodka! We can't forget that. The author, Pete Sortwell did an awesome job on this series. I loved both of these books and laughed so hard. I have to say, these 2 books are my favorite among this author! The narrator, Chris Dabbs did a great job delivering this book to us with all his goofy voices and antics only making the book funnier. I love the voice Chris uses for Barry too! It fits!!! Wonderful job guys!
This book had me laughing my butt off! A comedy that is so off the wall, it's genius and hilarious!
This book is about a guy who is short and ugly. He has a really hard time finding a date, so he got an idea. He decides to use the dating service for the disabled. Maybe he can find a blind girl who will date him. He doesn't think this thru before meeting his date though. When he signs up, he pretends he is blind too. How would she be able to tell he isn't if she can't see? DOH!!!
The author Pete Sortwell is genius in this book. What a concept! He had me laughing my butt off at times and shaking my head at others. The narrator, Chris Dabbs did a good job delivering this story and all it's lines to us. He read this book in such a way that it only made things funnier!
This is the boxset of both It's All Bollocks (book 1) and A Load of S*** (book 2).
Book 1:This is a collection of old-fashioned rants by a grumpy man. He loves to carry on and finds negatives in everything. He also informs us of all that can go wrong does. I found several reasons to chuckle in this. Some of it I could even relate to. To me, the funniest part is I think we all know someone like this in real life!
Book 2:I enjoyed book 2 better than book one. Angry Dave is back with his rants on the world, bosses, kids, parking etc... Lots of laughs here and Angry Dave points out the really dumb things people do too.
The author, Angry Dave did a good job making me laugh over and over again. There is loads of laughs here along with other forms of comedy. Picture a stand up comedian and you get the idea. This would be great to play at a party. The narrator David T Cummudgeon did a good job delivering the lines to us too! Good job guys!
Here I am in book 3 of Marlayna Glynn Brown's memoirs of her life...
In Book 1, Overlay - We read about the little girl Marlayna . How she grew up , what kind of life she had, how her parents raised or didn't raise her and the abuse she took as she grew up in Las Vegas back in the 1970s and her attempted suicide as a teen.
In Book 2, City of Angeles - We read about Marlayna moving to live with her Mother in Los Angeles. Then we read about Marlayna falling in love and making a family. She bought a house and raised 4 kids. Then we learn what happened to that marriage.
In Book 3, Big as all Hell and Half of Texas - We learn how Marlayna was able to pick herself and her kids up and move to another state and a whole new beginning. Marlayna's kids grow up and of people who come and go in Marlayna's life as friends and/or lovers. We also learn how Marlayna's depression blew up on her.
This entire series has been an eye opener for me. What a strong woman Marlayna had to be to overcome all her problems that happened in her life. The life events that happened to her which made her the strong woman she is today is amazing. I can truly understand the need to write this series and I can also see how Marlayna's history can help others.
This is one fantastic series! The author Marlayna Glynn Brown did a fantastic job writing this memoir in such a way that it is more like a novel. This is the best memoir I have ever read! The narrator, Abby Elvidge delivered a flawless series making this read easy on the ears and very memorable. I loved her multiple voices and accents too! I was really pleased to see the same narrator for the complete series. Great job ladies and thank you giving us all the chance to read about your life Maralayna! You are one strong woman!!! You made me laugh and cry with you thru your journey. I grew up with all these facts in your books and they are spot on. Every time another major event happened in history in your book, I said to myself, I remember that! All three books are 5 star reads!
I enjoyed book 2 better than book one. Angry Dave is back with his rants on the world, bosses, kids, parking etc... Lots of laughs here and Angry Dave points out the really dumb things people do too.
The author, Angry Dave did a good job bringing up situations that make no sense at all to normal folk and a lot of sense to a small part of our population. I found plenty to chuckle about here. Even more, Angry Dave made some very good points. The narrator did a good job delivering these rants to us. I am even getting use to the deep voice. Good job guys!

The author, Angry Dave did a good job writing this. After hearing the material, the cover makes even more sense to me now. The narrator, David T Curmudgeon did well delivering the lines to us. Though it did take me a bit of time to get use to the low voice.
