Paige Hart is blessed and cursed with a large, loving and...colorful Southern family. As the only lawyer in the clan, she can't say no when her cousin needs her help in a messy, no-holds-barred divorce. Tax attorney Paige squares off with Ross "the Snake" Bennet t- one of the slickest divorce lawyers in the county. The case is going as well as an acrimonious, zinger-filled, wrangle of epic proportions can go until exposure to an infectious bug with an unusual side effect lands both lawyers in quarantine together.

Obvious with the Summary of this book you know you are in for a romp. It was fun and light hearted, not to be taken serious at any time. There was also a side story going on so it had two romances happening during the book. The narrator did go a little over board with the southern accent, but since I'm not from there it didn't bother me too much. I would probably read from this author again when I’m looking for a quick get away from life. If you like this kind of book try author Susan Andersen.

But bloodlust and torture have left him on the brink of madness - until he finds Elizabeth Peirce, the key to his victory. He captures the unique young mortal, intending to offer up her very soul in exchange for power, yet Elizabeth soothes his tormented mind and awakens within him emotions Lothaire believed he could no longer experience.

I'm obsessed with the IAD series and I did like this book, but like the last book Lothaire left something to be desired, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because he is crazy insane. The biggest redeeming quality of this book is that Ellie didn't put up with all the crap Lothaire was dishing out. I loved the quote "You get more with honey than you do with vinegar and when you run out of both you reach for the buckshot." There was a lot of complaining about the Ellie's accent and how annoying it was. I can tell you that I was so engrossed in the story that it didn't bother me at all and added to the ability to fool people by underestimating her. Still think Robert Petkoff voice is a panty dropper.

Murdered before he could wed Regin the Radiant, warlord Aidan the Fierce seeks his beloved through eternity, reborn again and again into new identities, yet with no memory of his past lives. When Regin encounters Declan Chase, a brutal Celtic soldier, she recognizes her proud warlord reincarnated. But Declan takes her captive, intending retribution against all immortals - unaware that he belongs to their world.

Althought I love Kresley Coles writing and this book was good I just wasn't a fan of Declan as a hero. He does totally transform in the end and turns out awesome. It’s the getting there that left a bitter taste in my mouth. Regin is a much better person than I, because I don't know that I could have forgiven him the way she does. But with that said I still really liked the book, I am enthralled with the world that has been built in this series and I will be listening to everything KC writes. I really like how she manages to overlap the same story into each book, yet make it a new story by who's point of view. Usually I'm not a fan of this type of writing but KC does it without making it seem repetitive, she brings life and adventure to the story. It only gets better with Robert Petkoff reading it.

This book takes the series in a totally new direction and Kresley Cole pulls it off beautifully. She has a way of making a untamable man bent on possession and turning him into a wonderfully sexy male, who be still my heart I want as much as the heroine. Of course this book brings to mind more of how Sherrilyn Kenyon writes, so I recommend her if you haven't read her yet. This time we get to go to another realm and this one is harsh and unforgiving. The adventure and romance never fail to get my heart a flutter. My favorite type of series is where each book has a new set of characters as the main characters, but the world building intertwines with each book. I love the IAD characters. Again Robert Petkoff is awesome.

I so love a good adventure book with lots of romance involving a hot sexy man. Not to mention Robert Petkoff super sexy voice. I could listen to him read anything. So far in this series I tend to like the Lykae books best but I can't wait to read the rest. Defiantly need to read this series in order. IAD is a great series, I am so glad I found it. If you like adventure in the Amazon I recommend reading The Codex by Douglas Preston, while this is not a super sexy romance book it is an awesome adventure in the Amazon with just a touch romance.

    Story

Audible messed up the numbering for the books in this series. This is actually Deep Kiss of Winter, so this is both book 7 and 8 in the audible series. I did enjoy this story but it is far from my favorite. My main reason is because both Daniella and Murdoch love was so unattached, it didn't feel real until closer to the end. I'm also not a fan of books that skip a bunch of time without telling us what is going on. This one did a lot of skipping time since the story starts out the same time as A Warlord Wants Forever and it skips time a bunch only to touch down briefly during each passing book in the series, but is from Murdoch's point of view. I feel like Kresley Cole could have made this book into a longer book because some of the build up for the end of the book was anti climatic, such as the crowning of Daniella. Narrator rocks as usual.

    Story

I enjoy all the monsters in this series. This book has a darker feel to it. I didn't enjoy the story as much as I did the first two, although it is still good. The main reason is that I felt Zoey was way to flippant for situations going on around her. For instants she would say something but her actions often say something else. Plus she would often miss the obvious going on around her and I wanted to smack her for it. Where the purple Iris grows was a bit of a tear jerker. There is plenty to look forward to in the next additions. I purchased this book for a discounted price with the whispersync program for less than $6.

Yes I did liked this book, but essentially it is comparable to all the other stories in this series. So if you’re a SK fan you will love it. But as much as I love SK's work I am getting a little tired of the tortured H/h and how they focused so much on the ugly part of their pasts. The mood of the book lightens the second half even with all the strife still in limbo. Thank God it wasn't as depressing as Darling's or Styxx's story, at which point I might have had to kill myself. I also had to scan my brain for who some of the characters were. I eventually went to Sherrilyn Kenyon's website to read the character's bio to remember, which I think is cool and that all authors should have one. I have always loved Fred Berman.

As a turned human, he doesn’t enjoy a heartbeat or breathing and is consequently weaker than fully blooded vampires. He wants his bride for the power she will bring him and can hardly believe it when his heart beats for Myst the Coveted, a mad, fey, mythological creature. Myst is known throughout the world as the most beautiful Valkyrie, part chillingly fierce warrior, part beguiling seductress....

I'm glad I didn't start with this book. It was defiantly not as good as the other books in this series, I recommend starting with A Hunger Like No Other. I like Kaderin/Sebastian's and Maraketa/Bowen's stories the best. This book did have some questionable sex scenes that was on the verge of rape that was a turn off for me, but Myst loved it so I guess to each her own. I didn't think the narrators where that bad, but I think they should have just stuck with the male voice. I am not a fan of duel narration.

But now, with three hellion nephews to raise, the absentminded beauty has very little time for research. I have enjoyed Amanda Quick older books in the past and every once in a while I like to read them again. I will admit that all of the older Amanda Quick's books are very similar. There is a headstrong heroine, a dashing hero, and an ancient mystery to uncover with villains in the back ground. Of course what's not to love about that. Narrator was only just ok, she is very breathy and with her accent it makes her harder to understand.

This book was so good. Hot, funny, sweet and sour. I loved both Sabine and Rydstrom's characters, there was so much depth to them. I like the fact that they were not perfect. Kresley Cole sure knows how to turn them out. To date I have gobbled up her books and I cannot wait for more. Defiantly read in order. Each book is an adventure full of lore, romance, action, and great characters. And the cherry on top is the sexy narrator. If you like this book I recommend Sherrilyn Kenyon, Larissa Ione, Thea Harrison and Gena Showalter.
