It's Dan Calebow's worst nightmare: Phoebe Somerville, a trendy New York knockout, inherits the Chicago Stars, the football team he coaches. And she wants to help him run it. Phoebe's sure he needs her. He's a sexist good-ol'-boy jock with a one-track mind. Surely she can straighten him out.

I like the writing, the characters are vivid and real, but with all that I almost turned it off because of some sex scenes. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed this book and am glad I stuck it out, but the fact that the hero was very rough with the heroine (he thought she wanted it because of his ex-wife) was messed up. The heroine had a huge hang up with a rape that happened when she was a kid and then even after all that happened between them she still went back to him for more. Lucky for her he really wasn't that type of guy otherwise she would have been in a world of hurt. I would have told him to F off, but then there wouldn't have been a story. After all that major miscommunication was out of the way I started enjoying the book. There was some laugh out loud parts but the story is not a humorous kind, more a trump of life. In the end it all works out and I will continue with the series. Narrator was good.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

I bought this book around the same time that I had purchased the first book in The Dresden Files. And like The Dresden Files I thought both books were just okay, but not for me. I know there are lots of fans for both these series, I just have a hard time believing the action and thought processes of the main characters. Atticus will reference history, but he never really acts like he was there. Instead he seems to act and think like a modern day man. In fact he was kind of a bore, it almost seemed like he was bragging about all that he seen. My biggest problem was the story it was just a long world building story and no real plot. The only comical relief the story had was from his dog. Which made me enjoy the book better but I won't be continuing on with the rest of the series. I can say that If you do like The Dresden Files, I think you would like this series too. Narrator was good.

Another awesome addition to the Hunger Games Trilogy. I will always like book one best, but this book also packs quite a punch. Lots of action, intrigue, romance, friendship and loyalty is involved in the story. As the trilogy moves along there is more Panem political intrigue and what the Capital and the President expects from Katniss. In this book Katniss tries to stay under the radar, but the injustice of the Capital keeps her on her toes and then the 75th Hunger Games begin and causes all kinds of trouble. And like with all young adult series out nowadays there is a love triangle. Who do you vote for Peeta or Gale? I personally was always on the fence until the third book. I liked the new character additions to the story. Narrator does a good job.

20 or so years later Jake and Origami have a son who is just like his dad. Of course this will cause him to get into trouble. So Joe goes to Tokyo to fight Godzilla in the Pacific Rim style. So while not new material Larry Correia still makes me laugh. And while I wait for more books to come out from either the Grimnoir or the Monster Hunter series, this is a nice taste to keep me wanting more. Same narrator as the other Grimnoir series and he does an awesome job.

This classic tale is a fantastical fable of two dear friends - one of whom goes astray and is literally lost to the north woods, while the other undertakes an epic journey to rescue him. This charming, strange, and wonderful story is a timeless allegory about growing up and the challenges of staying true to one's self, and it served as the wintry inspiration for the blockbuster hit Frozen.

I don't see much resemblance to Frozen, only snow and that seems a thin reason for comparison. Overall a cute mini story about friendship and what we are willing to do for it, with some Christianity mix into the story. Thanks Audible for the freebie.

If you are a fan of this series, you won't be disappointed. With romance, action, demon/angel lore, friendship, humor, and even some emotional drama this book is great. Man the cover is sexy, makes me drool. Both the hero and heroine are tarnished and that's part of what I love about them. There are lots of appearances from past characters and it made me want to read the whole series over again.

It has been over a year since I read Reaver, I had a bit of a time remembering all the little details of this series and I wish that I had taken the time to reread the other books again. I do recommend reading Larissa Ione's other books starting with the Demonica, then the Horseman series before reading this because there is a lot of references to the previous books in this series.
Will this be the final book for the Demonica/Horseman series? Probably, but my hopes are for more. According to the beginning of this book Larissa Ione doesn't know for sure yet either. At the end of the book there is an epilogue put on the authors website "larissaione.com/blog/not-the-end." I haven't had the chance to read it yet but hopefully it is not the end of the series. Narrator does a pretty good job.

If you are looking for a new series after this one, I recommend reading Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter Series. This book reminded me of the Dark Hunter series a bit.

A light romance and although far from my favorite it was an easy listen. The book was a bit more of the mafia genre than I usually like, which is just not my taste. Overall I liked the heroine but she was sometimes a bit of a rag. Hero seemed to perfect to be true, but since this is fiction he was scrumptious Count. I did enjoy this book even with its minor faults. I would read another book from this author if there was a sale, but probably not if I had to pay full price or a credit. Narrator was good, I have always enjoyed her work.

This book is fun and full of adventure. I just love this series. I started out listening to this series with my 11 year old son. Since I listen to books so much faster than him I went ahead of him and started reading the rest of these by myself. Since I enjoyed these stories I have no problem listening to them again with him. This book had a new character in that reminded me of a Professor Gilderoy Lockhart from Harry Potter, which made me laugh. As usual there is doom coming for the folks on the Island of Burk and we get to go on the adventure with Hiccup and his friends to save everyone. The narrator is excellent and I would gladly listen to anything he narrated.

Another winner from Ilona Andrews, I enjoyed William and Cerise's story. There are so many great things I liked about this book such as the characters, the magic, the passion, the humor, the adventure, and a lot of monsters around in the story. I was glad that William got his woman, because he was just too sweet not to have one. Cerise was a kick ass woman that was strong enough to deal with William and his faults. I loved the back woods hillbilly style of Cerise, her family and where they lived. There was a few times I was a little confused on the details of the story but only because I think the authors tried to jam too many side characters into the story. Narrator does a good job.

Supernatural in order on Audible playlist

    1. 4 stars. Vampire Fight Club by Larissa Ione, book 5.5 in the Demonica series. A good addition to the Demonica/Horseman series. I think that it could have easily been a full length story. Way better than her other short story that was written. 3 hours 1 min.

    2. 3 stars. Darkness Eternal by Alexandria Ivy, book 7.5 in the Guardians of Eternity series. Story was okay but I'm not a huge fan of this series and after reading book one I gave up this author. 3 hours 8 mins.

    3. 3.5 stars. Kane by Jacquelyn Frank, book 1.5 in the Nightwalker series. This book will make a lot more sense if book 1, Jacob is read first. Of course this mostly took place in a bed so it wasn't that exciting. But good for hot sex. 2 hours 39 mins.

    4. 4.5 stars. Dragon on Top by GA Aikens, book 4.5? in Dragon Kin series. I really liked this book and I wish that Audible would get the entire series. I have read all of Shelly Laurenston aka GA Aikens, Pride Series and have enjoyed it and I know I would enjoy the rest of the Dragon Kin series. 4 hours 48 mins.

Not my favorite narrator. Justine Eyre has a slight smokers voice but I didn't mind her too much.

I wasn't a big fan of the first book Bound by Night, I thought the series may have potential so I went ahead and purchased this one. Then I found myself passing this book over for others, I had no real desire to see if this book was better than the first. Which is why it took me a while to listen to it. Luckily this book is better than the first, although still not as good as the Demonica/Horseman series. In the last book the biggest factor that bugged me was the characters, I didn't really like them. In this book I liked Hunter and Aylin much better and I was interested in how their future would turn out. I will be giving this series another shot if Larissa Ione writes another, but my hopes are for more books in the Demonica/Horseman series to be written. If you liked the first book then get this book, but if you are not a fan then this book is more of the same. Narrator was okay, but luckily for me not all narrators are a make it or break it deal.
