John Carter risks everything to rescue his wife, Princess Dejah Thoris, from the clutches of his evil adversaries, but he is always just one step behind! His quest carries him ultimately to the mysterious northern pole. Will this civilization, submerged in ice, prove fatal to our hero?...This is the third in Burroughs' 11-volume Mars series, a blend of sci-fi and romantic adventure.

John Carter is still trying to get his woman back. Most of this book he is chasing down the bad guys trying to save her. It starts to get old how many times she is kidnapped. Anyway if you liked the first two books, you will like this one. This is my stopping point with the series only because it is a mediocre series to me. I only read this far because if you get the free kindle version, book 2 & 3 are only .99 each. Narrator has a nice southern voice, but the names in the story start to sound the same and is slightly confusing.

This series is like a song that you like really well the first couple of times you hear it, but it gets old fast the more you hear. Don't get me wrong I like this series, but maybe it should have ended a book back or so. I probably will continue to read as long as I put some time in between listening to the books in this series and I get it on sale. Overall I would give this book a 3.5 rating. I'm not a huge fan of the narrator, she is just too slow and I ended up listening to this on fast speed.

I really liked Confessions of a D-list Super Villain and the Dead Eye series so I went ahead and took a chance on this book. While good, detective stories are just not my thing. Mostly this is about coming to term with being a clone. I was hoping it would be funnier, in which case I wouldn't have cared what the main story line was about. There is no humor in this book. Only me, myself, 42 and a bunch of other clones that have vastly different personalities. Narrator was a little dry, but overall he was okay.

While this book is slightly funny it tends to jump from characters to character without the benefit of letting us know it is from a different point of view. There was also a lot of out of the blue additions to the story without much explanation. This might be due to the transition to audiobook. I like to get short stories sometimes to break up the long audiobooks. While this book did the job it was only a filler book and I see there is more to this series, I won't be getting them. Narrator is slightly high pitched.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is way better than the first book and I'm glad I gave this series another chance. I bet there was a new editor because this book flowed much better than the first. I only liked the first book okay, which got better toward the end which was why I gave this series another chance. Magic Burns on the other hand was good and makes me want to read more of Kate Daniels. I like a strong heroine who doesn't think she is the best at what she does so when she gets hurt it isn't shocking and annoying. I also like to see characters who care about others. Kate taught Bran how to be a real hero, which was cool in my book. I'm also intrigued with how the relationship with Kate and Curran might develop. This book had me laughing out loud several times. Narrator was okay, she was a little over dramatic at the end.

I recommend reading this book after Lothaire but before Macrieve. Yes it is an spin off of IAD series but really it is a continuation of the series, just with different characters and location. Which to be truthful that is how all the books are in this series. For me Shadow's Claim was another wonderful addition to the series and Kresley Cole cannot write fast enough to satisfy me. This wasn't my favorite book from KC, but I still gobbled it up. My only complaint was that Bettina drove me crazy with her obsession of her childhood friend. Who in my opinion wasn't that great of a friend. Luckily like me she couldn't resist a sexy vamp who would do anything for her. Robert Petkoff was drool worthy as usual.

I just recently started and finished this series and I loved it. I read the books back to back which I hardly ever do because I tend to get bored of a series if I do that, well not with this one. Each story is awesome they have different characters, different adventures, different trials and tribulations to conquer. Lanthe and Thronos story is another incredible addition and I never want this series to end. Not to mention the hot romance going on that is only emphasized by the one and only sexy reading of Robert Petkoff. I recommend reading Shadow's Claim before this book since it has references in Dark Skye from Shadow's Claim.

My son and I love the movie so much that we decided to get the book and give it a try on our car trip. First off the book is nothing like the movie. Second off it is still really good. This book was hilarious with just the right amount of goofy. I loved all the names and the description of events, driving by us in the car all you would see is a bunch of crazy people laughing there fool heads off. I do still like the movie better only because I liked Toothless's character better in the movie. I loved the narrator and I hope to see him do more audible works. The only thing I wish wasn't in the book was the music and growling noises that were added in between chapters.

I tried to like this series, but I just couldn't it was only a mediocre story. I just don't understand how this series gets so many 5 star reviews. I am not a fan of Harry Dresden he is such a whining bore and always saying one thing and doing something different, usually something dumb. I'm sick of his complaining that he has no money, most people get another job that pays if they are going hungry. I'm also not a fan of Murphy she is over the top supposed bad ass, but instead it seems like she is throwing a tantrum instead. What this book does have going for it is that there is lots of supernatural lore that has an interesting take on it. There is lots of action and mayhem that also improve the book some. Unfortunately the narrator is sleep inducing with a touch of a saliva swallowing problem. I solved that problem by putting on the fast speed for listening. I gave Storm Front the first book a better review thinking I would like this book better, but this book just make me like the first book less but admittedly it wasn't terrible. Although I think I will skip the rest of this series.

And by her recent standards, things are actually looking up. Lycanthropes don't faze Anna. Doctoring a wolf pack outside Grundy, Alaska, is the closest thing to home life she's known in years. But hitching a ride to Anchorage with long-absent pack member Caleb Graham - that's a risk. Part of her itches to whack his nose with a newspaper. The rest is trying unsuccessfully to keep her own paws off every delicious inch of him.

Another enjoyable listen. I'm glad to see that Molly Harper finally came out with another werewolf story. I like this series better than the Nice Girl series. As usually Molly Harper brings lots of humor to her stories. Being more of an Alpha female myself, I have a hard time understanding why women let this happen to them. I know if some man abused me like that, I would find a way to hide the body. I realize I'm not as sensitive to this subject matter as I should be, which could be why I tend to identify with with Maggie the most. Amanda Ronconi is an excellent narrator.

This book was great. I love the characters, I especially liked Munroe's foster kids. I'm all about books that have strong heroines and alpha hunks. I liked how you always knew that Macrieve was a good guy, and you knew all along that there was going to be a hiccup somewhere since the beginning of their relationship was way to perfect. The trick was to figure out how to get back to normal. There was humorous parts that had me grinning from ear to ear, and some very disturbing parts that made me want to claw out the bad guys eyes. This series is up there as one of my favorites. Kresley Cole is an automatic download for me now. I will be listening to her other series soon. There is a preview of her book Poison Princess at the end of this book.
