Powerful and manipulative, Vasilije does as he pleases. A vampire beholden to no one, he takes what he desires, drinking deeply the pleasures this life has to offer. When one of his own is staked, Vasilije must travel to New Orleans to exact his revenge. There he meets Sasa, a beautiful woman who arouses him like no other has for centuries. Vasilije's need for vengeance is equaled only by his passion for her, but what he finds in his revenge is just the beginning....

Well John Lazaro's voice is the deepest I've ever heard. I was worried that his female voice would sound like a wounded dog but I was plesantly surprised. He does a really great job. I enjoyed this story but I think the storyline dropped a few connecting pieces. Sometimes it was hard to see the link between scenes. Without giving too much away Sasa is made to help Tatiana get revenge on Vasilije. So I get this but then all of a sudden they are at Tegan's house and she is his girlfriend. It picks up fairly quickly so you get what happened but I guess it would have been nice to see what Sasa was forced to do and understand how she arrived where she was. Then there were other parts when Vasilije and Sasa's connection stops. No explanation of why and then poof they are together. Does not make sense to me. I sometimes felt like chapters were edited out but should have been put back in. Overall it was enjjoyable. I will most likely continue with the series but will not rush out to get the next book. If I am looking for something to read I will use this series. I did enjoy it and there were some good parts and I think there is potential as this book sets up for the other characters and how the story will progress from there. So overall I am a 3 1/2 stars for this one.

When an angry, heartbroken girl is forced to be near her rocker ex-boyfriend, only time will tell if the fire between them will consume them both. Pandora, the gothic friend of Brooke (Real, Mine, Remy) and Melanie (Rogue), thought that getting her heart broken by her bad boy rocker ex could only happen once. But now, he's back in town with the biggest concert of the year. Pandora hates him so much that she gets Melanie to come with her and play a prank on him at his gig.

I'm really enjoying this series. There are lots of twists and turns and all the books. The narration is spot on. Katy Evans has a unique way of writing that just keeps you wanting more. Although I can say that rogue and ripped were great they still will not beat out Remy's story. I love that you still have Pandora Melanie and Brooke altogether and you get their smart mouthed little comments and big attitudes. This book however did not incorporate anything about fighting or the fight scene which is a little disappointing because I'd like that. It did however bring in the sexy rocker.

Leila's years on the carnie circuit were certainly an education. What she didn't learn: how to be a vampire, or how to be married to the most famous vampire of them all. Adjusting to both has Leila teetering on a knife edge between passion and peril, and now the real danger is about to begin...

Greyson King. My boyfriend. My friend. My protector. He's the reason I wake up every morning with a smile on my face, and the reason I fall asleep limp, worn out, and aching for his warm arms around me. When we make love, he says my name like it means something. Like I mean something. He lied. His name is Greyson King, but his alias is Zero. There's zero trace of him, he has zero past, and now I know that with him, I will have zero future.

I love this series. It has suspense, drama and a lot of steam😄. I like how all the characters keep coming back in each book. There are twists and turns and surprises as you go along it's not just the same old same old. This story is about Melanie and Grayson. It ties in the fighting underworld but not too much. I don't want to give away too much but something happens to Melanie. I just wish they would've spent a little more time on that part. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Gideon calls me his angel, but he's the miracle in my life. My gorgeous, wounded warrior, so determined to slay my demons while refusing to face his own. The vows we'd exchanged should have bound us tighter than blood and flesh. Instead they opened old wounds, exposed pain and insecurities, and lured bitter enemies out of the shadows. I felt him slipping from my grasp, my greatest fears becoming my reality, my love tested in ways I wasn't sure I was strong enough to bear.

This was such a long time coming and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. The storyline was weak at best. I felt like the other books had more plot than this one. Nothing exciting really happened. You don't really learn anything more about anyone in this book. The only redeeming factor is that I like hearing about the characters. I was hoping to have some more plot twists but alas did not. By the end I was tired of the sex scenes as they were over done and repetitive. Ava and Gideon's relationship went no where since the end of the last book. No wedding, no baby update, no move just blah. The only creative thing in this book was the change up of Narrators. I still don't understand why they don't have a male narrate all of his parts and the female hers where the dialogue is back and forth. You are paying two people so why not. All I can say is it was an easy listen and not horrible but if you are looking for action, surprising events or a conclusion you will not get it here.

Emma wakes in a hospital, with no memory of what came before. Her husband, Declan, a powerful, seductive man, provides her with new memories, but her dreams contradict his stories, showing her a past life she can't believe possible: memories of war, of a camp where girls are trained to be wives, of love for another man. Something inside her tells her not to speak of this, but she does not know why. She only knows she is at war with herself. Suppressing those dreams during daylight hours, Emma lets Declan mold her into a happily married woman and begins to fall in love with him.

This is a fantastic book. Set in a futuristic time. There are so many things going on that it's sometimes confusing but that is just part of the story line. This book keeps you on your toes and keeps you guessing as to who is the good guy and who is the bad guy. Emma has no memory but hears voices in her head. There is a creepy doctor who you are not sure you can trust. Her husband Declan is hiding something and seems like a jerk but he loves her and treats her so well that you don't know if he is good or bad. Emma remembers another man but does not know who he is but is drawn to him. She is not sure if her visions and memories are real or not. This book has suspense, love, deception and drama. It is an amazing story.

This is a continuation of Camryn and Andrew's romance. They have made the decision to change their destiny and life just keeps getting in the way. The events that happy are totally believable. You can see how it is so easy to get moving in the wrong direction. Andrew sees that Camryn is going down a bad path and if he is to save their relationship and Cam he needs to get them back to where they were on the road. This part of the story encompasses their journey and how they refuse to take the path 99% of couples take. This is a great romance novel that is sweet and just an easy listen. There is no over the top sex scenes or huge dramatic events but is not boring either. It is written a bit like S.C. Stephen books. I do like that that author chose to have a dual narration. She does change the female narrator but it works.

I know that some have reviewed this book as slow. I agree to a point. It is a love story told through many years of their lives. However, it was a beautiful love story. Cam and Andrew have ups and downs just like any couple. Their story makes you laugh and cry. There is just something about the two of them that keep you listening. You want to find out what will happen next. Cam is young and confused but knows that her current life is not what she wants. She does not know what she wants but then meets Andrew. He is running away from his troubles and feels an immediate connection to Cam. Together the set off to change their destiny. The thing I like about this book is that it is not so over the top with events that happen to Cam and Andrew, that you can still imagine yourself in their place. This is a romance story that will not disappoint. It reminds me a bit of S.C. Stephens books.

Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood . . . an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?

    Story

One thought that is not conflicting in my mind is that the narrator is absolutely horrible. She is all breathy and high pitched. She totally killed this book. So that is why I am on the fence. I think there was a lot of potential for this book but am not sure if I was just too critical due to the narrator or my expectations. I have never ready Lindsay Sands before but heard lots of positive talk about her books so thought I would give it a go. I think it was a really unique idea to have a fainting vampire. I do think that the humour in the story was lost in translation by the narrator. I also agree with other reviewers that the love at first site was a bit too fast and over the top. It is hard to fully buy in. However, I think that there is room for positive improvement so am willing to give the next book a try before I cast judgement on the series. Overall it was just ok for me. I have certainly read better.

There was very little depth to this story. The falling in love in two days was a bit hard to believe. There are no twists or turns to this book. It is plain old boring! Yes there are sex scenes that get steamy but after the first few you can just tune them out. The characters of Natalie and Luke are just dull. The narration is a bit to young and mousy for my taste. I was expecting more and must say I am disappointed. Sometimes it is good to listen to a book that is just a lighthearted romance but usually the characters are exciting or you just get sucked into the story. There is nothing like that in this book. I am trying to figure out how a series could possibly be made from this book. Save your credit and try something else.
