From acclaimed best-selling author Sandra Brown, Tough Customer is a heart-pounding tale about obsession and murder, the fragile nature of relationships, and, possibly, second chances.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The story needs to pop! I have listened to many other Sandra Brown books that have been read by Victor Slezak and this one just doesn't get it. The story line is boring and does not captivate me as her others have done.

What could Sandra Brown have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Since, I didn't finish it, I cannot give a fair opinion.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Victor Slezak?

I love Victor Slezak!! I think it was just the story line that made it such a bummer.

Dr. Emory Charbonneau, a pediatrician and marathon runner, disappears on a mountain road in North Carolina. By the time her husband Jeff, miffed over a recent argument, reports her missing, the trail has grown cold. Literally. Fog and ice encapsulate the mountainous wilderness and paralyze the search for her. While police suspect Jeff of "instant divorce," Emory, suffering from an unexplained head injury, regains consciousness and finds herself the captive of a man whose violent past is so dark that he won't even tell her his name.

If you could sum up Mean Streak in three words, what would they be?

    Whoa! Yummy! and Really??

Who was your favorite character and why?

He, who must not be named.

What does Jonathan Davis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Where do I begin? Jonathan's narration is one of the best I have heard and fits Him (Mr. un-named man) to a Tee!!! I was able to completely visualize the characters with the description from the author and his voice to lead the way. There is no way I would have had the same experience if I had read the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was a very emotional book! I love the characters, I loved the way the story played out, I loved the villains and, I loved the heroes.

    Any additional comments?

Very well written and very well read!!

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

What made the experience of listening to Sycamore Row the most enjoyable?

The narrator (Michael Beck) was amazing and so realistic. You couldn't help to be drawn into the voices of the characters. Very talented

Who was your favorite character and why?

Judge Atley. I loved the respect his voice and the way his demeanor commanded the courtroom. But, then again, I loved meeting all the characters throughout the book.

Have you listened to any of Michael Beck’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No. But, I will!!!!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Of course, the ending. I cannot discuss that :-)

    Any additional comments?

    Fantastic Listen!! Highly recommend

Manuel Perrine doesn't fear anyone or anything. A charismatic and ruthless leader, Perrine slaughters rivals as effortlessly as he wears his trademark white linen suit. Detective Michael Bennett once managed to put Perrine behind bars, the only official in the US ever to accomplish that. But now Perrine is out, and he has sworn to find and kill Bennett and everyone dear to him.

Would you try another book from James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge and/or Danny Mastrogiorgio and Henry Leyva ?

YES, IF IT HAD BOBBY CANNAVALE AS THE NARRATOR. I LOVE JAMES PATTERSON AND HAVE READ ALL THE BOOKS OF THE "MICHAEL BENNETT" SERIES, BUT THE NARRATION IS VERY DISTRACTING.

What was most disappointing about James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge ’s story?

I'M SORRY. I WAS UNABLE TO FINISH THE BOOK

Would you be willing to try another one of Danny Mastrogiorgio and Henry Leyva ’s performances?

    NO

    Any additional comments?

I MAY JUST HAVE TO GO BACK TO READING THE BOOK INSTEAD OF LISTENING IF I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.

Justin and Libby Denbe have the kind of life you’d find in the pages of a glossy magazine: A beautiful 14-year-old daughter. A gorgeous brownstone on a tree-lined street in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. A great marriage, admired by all. A perfect life. When investigator Tessa Leone arrives at the crime scene in the foyer of the Denbes’ home, she finds scuff marks on the floor and a million tiny pieces of bright green Taser confetti. The family appears to have been abducted.

If you could sum up Touch & Go in three words, what would they be?

    Suspense, Thrill, and Surprise!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tessa Leoni was my favorite. She was introduced in "Love You More," and it was a great treat being reunited with her again in this book. I love her role and how she evolves in this book with her new character.

Have you listened to any of Elisabeth Rodgers’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. I have not heard her before, but she was really able to paint the perfect picture. I will look for her books again.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole book was so suspenseful and I thought I knew where it was going and then Bam! She took the book to a whole new level.

    Any additional comments?

This was Lisa Gardner's best work yet!! Keep up the great work!!!
