I have listened to all of Rhonda's books. While not earth shattering, they are all inspirational and good to hear. If you don't have dreams, you don't need this book, but if you have a dream, this book is for you.
Most books further describing 'A Course in Miracles' are worth listening to and this one is no exception. It is very obvious that Jon is knowledgeable on his material and a great student of the Course. He clarified many questions I had and raised some more which makes me want to study more. Good teaching!
The content is awesome and VERY thought provoking, and I stress these two things heavily, however the narration made for a struggle to complete the book. I would love to hear it again but don't think I could do it unless someone else did the reading. (Be sure to listen to the sample to see if you could take several hours of it.)
Coming from a scientific background and thinking in an analytical way I greatly appreciate all the statistical support for Sonja's work. I enjoy how she throws in personal accounts that further describe her findings by sharing her own doubts and stumblings. Sometimes I thought the 'hows' suggested were a little trite but I did participate in most of her questionnaires and tests with worthy positive results. Who knew?! I love the idea of a happiness set point and proof that 40% of one's happiness can be improved! Very encouraging! Many times I found myself saying "Hmmmm...there's an idea!"
Her narration was wonderful. She has a great voice for this subject matter!
I am a HUGE fan of Neale's having read most all his previous works. The contents of this book still have me a fan but several times I did have to turn it off and 'digest' what he was saying. He gets his point across about 'the only thing that matters' but sometimes in an annoying way. Maybe its just the pace I learn at (slowly!). I found myself getting frustrated with his comparisons that ran on FOREVER and how the topics swirled back on each other. With all that said this book is definitely worth the credit and time taken to listen to it. You will learn a lot and have MANY 'ah ha' moments. As usual Neale is very comforting in one segment and then knocks you off your base in the next only to steady you again in the following one. I will listen again soon (after my head quits spinning from this round!)
I am a fan of Marianne Williamson, her teachings, and her thinking so it would be hard for me to not like anything she has written. This book offered the encouragement and redirection my life needed right now. Sometimes we need to be re-focused and Marianne gently did that. What perfect timing here at the new year and start of a new Baktun!
As always she brings her awesome prayers to each chapter and weaves many teachings from 'A Course in Miracles' into her story. I appreciate that she pulls stories out of her own life to illustrate her point.
If you are looking for a book to offer a deep breath of fresh air then purchase this one.
I loved this book. Very motivational; a little out of my language realm, but I caught on. Extremely real, down to earth, and worth the credit. It's a fun read (listen) and I was more prepared to go out and develop my career. I'll put this one on the 'highly recommend' list.
I love Eckhart's teachings and thoughts. This book was excellent for that, a little deep for me at times, but worth it. Yes, there was VERY annoying background breathing and laughter as others have pointed out. I have listened to this a number of times and do get more out of it each time (as I do most audibles). The questions at the end were useless for me, but that is for me, maybe you will get something out of them. Do purchase it.
VERY in-your-face listening and sooooo well worth it! Love Jillian's brutal honesty. Reality never had it so good! She makes gaining control of your life in all areas paramount. Basic message...step up or step aside!
Loved it! Very inspirational if you are a rebel (in the kindest sense). Offers permission, and ways, to open your mouth as well as your heart and still be at peace with who you are.
A very exciting listen full of intrigue and energy. Wonderful life lessons and words to live by told in a 'made for TV' kind of way. Very glad there is a sequel! I wanted it to go on forever!
