Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    Yes. It's a wonderful step-by-step instructional.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I suppose Greg was my favorite character.

Have you listened to any of Greg Dean’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No.

What did you learn from Step by Step to Stand-Up Comedy that you would use in your daily life?

A LOT! I now know how to go about following a childhood dream.

    Any additional comments?

I'm not sure why people think they were supposed to be entertained and amused by a how-to manual. This is NOT a joke book. It's a book about how to be a joke teller, and it is a great book for its purpose. Yes, it is repetitive, but that's how Greg gets the point across on how to create jokes.

New American Stories presents diverse stories of contemporary American life and dreams lost and found, by four of the best young contemporary writers - Jhumpa Lahiri, Sherman Alexie, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Aleksandar Hemon - as performed by terrific stage and screen actors. All four writers have a unique perspective on the American experience, which is reflected in their work.

Would you consider the audio edition of Weekend Journal 12-23-2011 to be better than the print version?

I've never read the print version of the Weekend Journal so I really can't compare.

Ravaged by time and abandoned by the people who once flocked there in search of golden nuggets, Ragged-Ass Gulch is a ghost town. What’s left is a small, proud, and close pack of people who aren’t looking for change. But change seems to be afoot as several mysterious fires plague the town. That’s where the Nameless Detective comes in….

It's a little too backwoods hillbilly for me. The language is accurately simple, and the story could be a run-of-the-mill true story in the life of any backwoods Southerner.
