I can say that I really thought this trilogy was awesome, I think it is a mix of Sandra Brown and Danielle Steel, and yet with a style all its own. Each book is very accurately titled.
To those of you who gave it bad reviews, I would encourage you to not judge by the first
book and to complete the three books. If you have half of an interest in psychology, you would be able to see the interesting reasons why Christian is Fifty Shades. If you can't get passed the first book, then you will never be able to see the greatness in this trilogy.
I myself would like to have had a little more insight into Christians background in the first novel, however, having read the entire trilogy, that would have given away too much in the
beginning. When you sit down to watch a movie, you begin to try and figure out the twist in it, and it is never really given away until the end. Why would you expect all of the twists and turns to be given away in the first book of a trilogy.
I think all of the hype has been because of the BDSM, the descriptive language, and if that is all you are reading it for then you will be disappointed. The story line is about so much more than that.
It is one of those story lines that people will either love it or hate it. I for one love it, and to those of you that hate it, that is your choice. I am not sure you have to be so harsh in your judgements, especially if you aren't even going to finish the entire trilogy. That is like watching the first 1/2 hour of a movie and then writing a review. "REALLY!!!'
