Sophia Giambelli has never worried about competition. As a savvy businesswoman, she knows she must be prepared for anything...but she isn't prepared for Tyler MacMillan.

I loved this story and the characters! It has mistery, murder, business and romance.
What I didn't like at all was the performance. The voice of the narrator is always very pleasant and ladylike and the only character that I could imagine speaking like that all the time was Pilar. For all other characters it didn't seem to correspond to my imagine of them, so it was a bit irritating and took the fun out of some parts of the book.

In 1866 tragedy strikes at the exclusive Windfield School when a mysterious accident takes the life of a student. Among the student's circle of friends are Hugh Pilaster; Hugh's older cousin Edward, dissolute heir to the Pilaster banking fortune; and Micky Miranda, the handsome son of a brutal South American oligarchy. The death and its aftermath begin the spiraling circle of treachery that will span three decades and entwine many lives.

I loved this audiobook. The story is very interesting and exciting, and it keeps you hooked to the book. And the performance is very good.

Lunacy was Nate Burke's last chance. As a Baltimore cop, he'd watched his partner die on the street - and the guilt still haunts him. With nowhere else to go, he accepts the job as chief of police in this tiny, remote Alaskan town. Aside from sorting out a run-in between a couple of motor vehicles and a moose, he finds his first few weeks on the job are relatively quiet. But that's about to change.

Michele says: "Makes you want to see Alaska for yourself"

I've loved some books by Nora Roberts, and I've disliked some others. This story I liked very much but I didn't love, however I really loved the performance, and I'll be looking for other books read by Gary Littman's.
