Those of us who buy not grow our food have romantic ideas of what it's like to work the land. This book quickly extinguishes the romance and shows the reader the down and dirty, no pun intended. Nevertheless, I loved this book, the characters were so real. I didn't want it to end. I have a new appreciation for what it takes to get the food to my table.
Top 100, a good book if you want to be distracted.
No though it was engaging.
No, periodically needed a break
Sue Monk Kidd's The Invention of Wings due to quality of narration & story.
Their narrative made the book compelling & enjoyable.
I would keep the title as is.
End with first case
Different narrator, end with 1st case.
All Connelly' s books can stand alone
I don't feel I would have missed anything had I not read this book. I was disappointed.
Nothing in this book, the writing, the reading etc could compel me to finish it.
I did not want this book to end. I want to know what happens after Handful gets to the North and is free.
I love museums. I wanted to love this book but the "new" curator was just too naive and such a push over. I finally had to stop listening or throw my Kindle against the wall.
Story line dragged.
Story line dragged
I would think long and hard about buying any more of this series.
