I look forward to all the In Death books and watch for the next. Enjoyable? Always a new story line. Keeps me listening. Love to guess who the murderer is.
Fantasy in Death
Something was off
The ongoing characters in the family MacGregor
Being snowed in and stuck in a hotel that typically rents rooms by the hour
Yes. She lowered her voice for the male characters, added a brogue for Daniel. She softened her voice for Anna and raised it for Rena.
No. Nice simple romance.
This series holds up 30 yrs after first publication. The characters smoking cigarettes dates the series but other than that it could be written today.
I loved the introduction to the MacGregor family. I read this many years ago and wanted to hear it with the characters performed. I look forward to to other books in the series.
When Blade discovered that Daniel had set him up with the cruise.
Yes. She did a passible job with the male voices and accents. There is something about her inflections that I don't really care for at the end of sentences but while she is not my favorite narrator she is far superior to others.
I enjoyed Luke and Sydney's history and present. It also was entertaining getting updates on the other characters. I do not care for the narrator who reads instead of performing the story. Monotone delivery.
When Big Mac & Luke were injured.
Flat delivery. No real difference in characters.
I love a love story and a series that allows you to get to know a number of the characters.
The challenges and events the main characters dealt with and updates on other characters.
Lacks emotion and she does not differentiate the characters. She simply reads aloud. A disaster might be happening but you wouldn't know from the narrators voice.
I wouldn't rename.
It is the story spun by Marie Force that brings me back to the series. I do wish she would choose a different narrator.
On the fence about this. I rarely read print books any more since I can "read" an audiobook while exercising, driving or relaxing. I did not care for the narrator who put no emotion or performance in her execution nor she differentiate the characters.
Both Maddy and Mac
Big Mac. He came across as such a kind, loving person.
I love series and will listen to more in this one but I wish there was a different narrator.
I loved the back story about Hannah and her family.
The loss of Homer, Jr.
I have listened to to a number of Christina Traister's performances. I like them all.
Yes, the loss of Homer, Sr. was heartbreaking.
Love series and the chance to meet new characters and locations.
Susan Ericksen is my favorite narrator. I also like Christina Traister and Amy McFadden
This was a happy, light book.
Kate Rudd was good with different voices however she over enunciates every word which I found wearing.
Yes. I would suggest the series be read in order as a number of the characters recur.
Grace. This was her book and I enjoyed discovering her story.
About the same.
Troy's crash and burn when he realized the extent of her wealth and that she was pregnant with his baby.
Family, love and forgiveness
Don't have a favorite. The narrator doesn't provide a significant difference in characters.
When Paddy stayed with Rachel before and after her miscarriage.
Great story of a family, warts and all.
The final book in the series.
It was good to hear more about the other characters in the series. In addition it shows a family that loves and supports each other even when they disagree.
The series introduced Rachel as a self serving reporter without ethics who endangered others to get a story and climb the success ladder. This book glosses over this and wants the reader to believe that she was misunderstood and a victim of her family belittling her.
