    Too many to mention.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This was a terrific book. Sue Monk Kidd's best book yet. Well-written and full of things about which I knew nothing. There were some very touching moments that moved me to tears. The voices for the characters made them come alive.

Orphaned while onboard ship from Ireland, seven-year-old Lavinia arrives on the steps of a tobacco plantation where she is to live and work with the slaves of the kitchen house. Under the care of Belle, the master's illegitimate daughter, Lavinia becomes deeply bonded to her adopted family, though she is set apart from them by her white skin. Eventually, Lavinia is accepted into the world of the big house, where the master is absent and the mistress battles opium addiction.

What made the experience of listening to The Kitchen House the most enjoyable?

The two performers captured the voices of the main characters beautifully. I did not want to stop listening. At times, the story was a little predictable, but, somehow the story was still compelling and kept drawing me in.

What about Orlagh Cassidy and Bahni Turpin ’s performance did you like?

    They sounded very authentic.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Teddy says: "Demented, twisted, sick and I loved it!"

If you could sum up Gone Girl in three words, what would they be?

    Couldn't stop listening.

What about Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s performance did you like?

The 2 voices really made a difference in hearing the story.
I loved the way Julia said, "Amazing Amy."
