The principles and philosophy of success that Napoleon Hill outlined in his masterwork, The Laws of Success, and his international best seller, Think and Grow Rich, have served as the foundation for every motivational speaker since. Now, in these rare recordings, you will hear a complete and thorough exposition of Napoleon Hill's life-altering philosophy of personal achievement in his own voice. More than that, you will gain deeper insight into Hill's philosophy as you listen to him interpret and amplify the 17 universal principles of success.

If you are a Napoleon Hill Fan, you will enjoy this audio. It is peppered with references that apply to his time, and he is not as polished of a speaker as we often listen to today. His warmth and charm comes through the audio, but it is one that I find myself drifting off while listening, so short bursts are better than a relaxing marathon read.

Or is it a darker force, a curse upon the land? Amid golden cornfields, FBI Special Agent Pendergast discovers evil in the blood of America's heart.

The characters were well developed and the story was good. I thought I would miss the other characters that started out in the first three books, but the authors have a knack for inventing new characters that you can like and want to see move forward. Each book you know a little more about Pendergast, this one did not disappoint.

Mary Griffith and her struggles and triumphs are at the center of it all, in her bar, the Empress of Mars.

I'm so glad to have discovered this Author, and so sad that she is not with us anymore. Her books a truly imaginative, and the characters are engaging. I wish she would have expanded it into a series....But taken as it is, its a great book. Thanks to audible for putting this on a special priced selection.

I've listened to all of the books in series. At times Diana Gabaldon goes into a lot of detail, but that is just her style. Very creative story that picked up characters as Claire and Jamie's life expanded. You can find some of the historical figure references online, I thought she did a great job weaving them into the story. Much of the writing is from Claire's point of view from the beginning, but it goes through others lives as the book expands. Great book to listen to on long trips.

This latest installment is sure to please you if you are a fan of this series. I liked the introduction of Gary Laughingdog and Christy (although Christy was a burr in Mercy's backside as Adam's ex wife). I also like the way that characters from her other series (Alpha and Omega) intertwine with these books...well done! can't wait for the next installment.

I don't know where to begin on this book. It's a great story, the narration is also great. Some of the decriptions of the visual elements are simply beautifully written and then performed. I know when I see the movie I will be probably dissapointed that they left this part or that part out, but the ads for the movie were what attracted me to the book on audible. Parts of the book are not for those with a weak stomach, he describes the dead and dying with as much care as the more conventionally beautiful.

I recommend that if you read them, you read them in order. The main characture in this book is every bit of a strong female characture as Elphaba in the first book. Its so rich in imagination. It has a great ending. Its bittersweet that it had to come to an end.

I like the True Blood series, but her books are very good, and Charlane Harris has a great dark sense of humor, like with the vampire Bubba.

All stories are told from Sookie Stackhouse's point of view, and she is sometimes uninformed about the intricancies of the different relationships...nor does she want to be informed all the time...and she sometimes gets annoyed with it all. I find it a very humorous contrast of the HBO series. Good stories, good narration.

Before her final hour, a figure known as Brrr - the Cowardly Lion - arrives searching for information about Elphaba Thropp, the Wicked Witch of the West. Abandoned as a cub, his path from infancy is no Yellow Brick Road. In the wake of laws that oppress talking Animals, he avoids a jail sentence by agreeing to serve as a lackey to the warmongering Emperor of Oz.

I think that this book is every bit as good as the first book in the series "Wicked"...the detail and storytelling were long in some parts, but then it started to come together, and you understood how the charactures were beginning to fit together. The Lion, the hero of this story was every bit as distinctive as Elphaba. All I can say is "wow." Can't wait to read the end of the story. The narration was excellent, story imaginative and unpredictable, and well worth the time spent.

In 1938, just after publication of his all-time best-seller Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill revealed that he had broken the Devil’s Code, forcing him to confess his secrets. The resulting manuscript - Outwitting the Devil - proved so controversial, it was hidden for more than 70 years. Now, Sharon Lechter brings us this important book, annotating and editing it for a contemporary audience. Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Hill digs deep to identify the greatest obstacles we face in reaching our personal goals....

    Story

I'm a big fan of Napolian Hills work, and I was excited that this book came out in audiobook form. However, the editor narrations by a woman's voice, is annoying. Every five or six minutes she interrupts the story teller with less than insightful comments that most everyone would probably understand anyway...like "wow, what an insightful comment...it is so true today, it is easy to get discouraged." or "you know in 1939 when Hill wrote this book, 3000 dollars was the equivilant of 45,000 and therefore he was really doing well."...blah, blah, blah....Her voice was too overpowering over the male narrators, so you were interrupped in your train of thought when it came back to the original Hill reading. I finally had to stop listening. Napolian Hill's book, as it was written, was charming and whitty... he doesn't require simpleton interpretation. I'm going to look for a copy in another form, so I don't have to listen to the constant interruption of the editor.
