While I did enjoy the story, I do much prefer to listen to Simon Prebble's rendition. Clare Higgins did a fine job, but the enthusiasm and power that Prebble presents is exceptional.
Each and all of Stephanie Laurens novels are similar in nature, all being wonderful to read in print, but even better to listen to.
All of Laurens books are ones that I want to listen to in one sitting, but this is impossible due to their length.
I have already listened to TRAPPED twice and look forward to listening again, and again. Kevin Hearne's writing keeps me plugged to my Kindle as Luke Daniel's sultry voice makes Atticus come alive.
Atticus will always be my favorite character in this series, after all he is the hero! His interactions with the other characters is fun, witty, serious, and rebellious at once. He is a superhero without the over-sized, obnoxious muscles, nor the 'better-than-everyone-else' attitude.
Luke Daniels is one of the best performers that I have had the privilege to listen to. I have listened to his work in the past, as I have had all of the Iron Druid series in audible books. He does a fabulous job of making me believe he is actually the characters that he is reading about.
Absolutely crazy wonderful
Each of the characters were important in their own way, but I think that William Banks was my favorite.
Nicole performed the Omnipotent narrator in such a way that she made me believe that she sould actually see into the minds of the characters.
It would have been impossible to sit and listen to this in just one sitting. It is a story that I could take in the information for about forty-five minutes, then sit quietly and process all that had happened.
Yes, I would listen to The Fiery Cross time and time again, in much the same way in which I have read the novels. Diana's work is filled with passion, enchantment and excitement.
Davina Porter does a fabulous job with both the male and the female characters. Through her verbalization of all that Diana has written, we, as the readers, are able to put ourselves there with Jamie, Claire, Bri and Roger. Wonderful!
Always, the most memorable characters in the Outlander series will be Jamie and Claire, but Bri and Roger, young Ian, Lord John and the entire cast are easily brought to mind.
Wonderful, wonderful series!
I would and, in fact, have recommended this audiobook to several friends. Frighteningly spectacular-that is the way in which I describe this novel. While it is not actually a horror story, there are elements of terror that go beyond ghosts and zombies. True evil can live within anyone if given the chance. Tananarive Due is an exquisite writer of mystical, sensual, and intriguing stories. I would like to read more about this little family, perhaps the story of the main character's grandmother and the experiences that lead up to what happened in this story of 'The Good House.'
