Ex-CIA master assassin Court Gentry has always prided himself on his ability to disappear at will, to fly below the radar and exist in the shadows - to survive as the near-mythical Gray Man. But when he takes revenge upon a former employer who betrayed him, he exposes himself to something he’s never had to face before. A killer who is just like him. Code-named Dead Eye, Russell Whitlock is a graduate of the same ultra-secret Autonomous Asset Program that trained and once controlled Gentry.

I absolutely love this series. I read/listen to a lot of books and many of them are truly outstanding, but there is something about these books that makes them just better. The action starts on page one and just doesn't stop, but Mr.Greaney has given us a character who is more than just a bad ass, which Court Gentry most definitely is. From the first book we know that someone set Court up to take the fall in the past and with each book we get an action packed adventure with a little of this other mystery thrown in. Mr. Greaney has managed to find a way to express Court's confusion and pain about the past without dwelling on it. More than any other book I have read in this genre, Court makes me think of an old world Knight.

Meet Jonathan Quinn: a freelance operative with a take-no-prisoners style and the heart of a loner. His job? Professional "cleaner". Nothing too violent, just disposing of bodies. But his latest assignment will change everything. The job seemed simple enough: investigating a suspicious case of arson. But when a dead body turns up, and Quinn's handlers at "the Office" turn strangely silent, he knows he's in over his head. With only a handful of clues, Quinn struggles to find out why someone wants him dead.

I had put off listening to this series because I just wasn't sure that I would like the subject matter. Turns out, I was wrong, wrong, wrong. This book had all the action you could ask for and great dialog. I promise you that if you give this book a try, you won't regret it!

No names. No Feds. No trace evidence. That's how Jonathan Grave operates. As a freelance specialist in covert rescues, he has to work outside the law to get things done - especially in highly sensitive hostage situations. But when an Indiana college student is abducted, and Jonathan's meticulous plan explodes into a deadly shooting spree, the local authorities are out for blood - and they're not alone. Someone wants to control a devastating secret...Someone rich and powerful.

I am on my second round of listening to this series and they are just as wonderful the second time around. The action is non-stop but somehow Mr. Gilstrap finds a way to weave in some pretty thoughtful insights. These books stand shoulder to shoulder with those of Mark Greaney, Marc Cameron, Andrew Peterson, Alex Berenson, Lee Child and Vince Flynn.

Minneapolis detectives Leo Magozzi and Gino Rolseth are bored - ever since they solved the Monkeewrench case, the Twin Cities have been in a murder-free dry spell, as people no longer seem interested in killing one another. But when elderly Morey Gilbert is found dead in the plant nursery he runs with his wife, Lily, the crime drought ends - not with a trickle, but with a torrent. Who would kill Morey, a man without an enemy, a man who might as well have been a saint? Can Grace McBride's cold case-solving software program somehow find the missing link?

    Any additional comments?

This was the first P.J. Tracy book I ever listened to and I loved it enough to buy it a second time(first time was cassette!)
