When James Bond is asked to settle a dispute over "ungentlemanly behavior" at an exclusive gambling club, the affair is embarrassing in the extreme, for the accused is the unimpeachable Sir Hugo Drax: business tycoon, popular hero, patriot extraordinaire, and head of the multimillion-dollar Moonraker missile program on which Britain's future defense depends.

What did you love best about Moonraker?

I can picture exactly what Flemming was trying to convey. Makes me wonder why radio drama died???

What did you like best about this story?

The plot of the story was very plausible given the Cold War and the tension between world powers of that era. It is refreshing that the book's version of Bond isn't superhuman, just a VERY good agent. Minimal gadgets. Intelligent.

What about Simon Vance’s performance did you like?

His voice characterization really hep to define the Characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

‘It didn’t matter that they were now three miles beyond their target site, that communications were dropping out and that they were running low on fuel. All that mattered to Neil as he searched for a safe spot to land was that boulders littered the surface below. “Thirty seconds,” called mission control. In truth, the flight controllers were now no more than spectators, just like everybody else. No more needed to be said. It was down to Armstrong

What disappointed you about Moon Shot?

Well performed but historical accuracy badly flawed.

Would you ever listen to anything by Dan Parry again?

    Unlikely

What aspect of John Chancer’s performance would you have changed?

    Nothing

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Moon Shot?

Would have verified the facts like satellite service dates, Atlas missile deployments (the numbers work totally wrong and none were ever deployed outside the USA), etc..

What did you like best about The Outlaw Demon Wails? What did you like least?

The story gave some additional depth to some of the characters. Unfortunately, I am starting to anticipate the stories rather than be surprised. I'm still disgruntled about her killing off Kisten.

What was most disappointing about Kim Harrison’s story?

Each additional story in the series is more and more dependent on the preceding books. They don't stand alone and I recommend reading them in order. I'm still disgruntled about her killing off Kisten. Oh, did I say that already? Probably means I really miss the tension of Kristen, as the "good boy" trying to manage having to do "bad" things. RIP Kristen... now you're REALLY dead. I'd love to have seen you reappear by some supernatural means. Oh, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself.

Would you be willing to try another one of Gigi Bermingham’s performances?

No. She should have the common courtesy to listen to one of the preceding books to adopt the accepted pronunciations and voice characterizations. Read review by "Not News but...". I couldn't improve on that critique.

Did The Outlaw Demon Wails inspire you to do anything?

Look forward to Marguerite Gavin returning as narrator in the next installment.
