The financial crisis that exploded in 2008 isn’t past but prologue. The stunning rise, fall, and rescue of Wall Street in the bubble-and-bailout era was the coming-out party for the network of looters who sit at the nexus of American political and economic power. The grifter class - made up of the largest players in the financial industry and the politicians who do their bidding - has been growing in power for a generation.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Griftopia?

The whole story. I enjoyed how Matt just tells the story no holds barred.

    Any additional comments?

Wish that the average man on the street could read this book and then do something to change the system.

Scientology, created in 1954 by a prolific sci-fi writer named L. Ron Hubbard, claims to be the world's fastest-growing religion, with millions of members around the world and huge financial holdings. Its celebrity believers keep its profile high, and its teams of "volunteer ministers" offer aid at disaster sites such as Haiti and the World Trade Center. But Scientology is also a notably closed faith, harassing journalists and others through litigation and intimidation, even infiltrating the highest levels of government to further its goals.

Dan Savage has always had a loyal audience, thanks to his syndicated sex-advice column Savage Love but since the incredible global success of his It Gets Better project, his profile has skyrocketed. Savage is recognized as someone whose opinions about our culture, politics, and society should not only be listened to but taken seriously. Now, in American Savage, he writes on topics ranging from marriage, parenting, and the gay agenda to the Catholic Church, sex education, and the obesity epidemic.

If you could sum up American Savage in three words, what would they be?

    A regular person.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Dan's story of his mother.

What about Dan Savage’s performance did you like?

Usually authors are not the best person to read their books but Dan hits it out of the ballpark.

    Any additional comments?

A book that makes you really try to treat each person with more humanity.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Kelly says: "I Owe Stephen King An Apology"

    Story
What did you love best about 11-22-63?

The story is really thought provoking. How do the little things we do really effect the world around us. The butterfly effect.

What did you like best about this story?

King keeps you wondering what will happen next. And Craig Wasson is just wonderful.
