"Excellent book on personal finance from an expert"
    Overall

I am a consumer bankruptcy attorney and I can not give this book high enough praise. The author, Elizabeth Warren, is Harvard law professor and an expert on consumer finance and bankruptcy law.

If you are deep in debt this plan may be difficult to execute, but if you have moderate debt and are not in financial crisis then this is THE plan for you. I wish more of my clients had this book years ago, it not only could have saved them from bankruptcy, but it could have made them financially secure over time.

It is simple and easy, but it may take a little discipline at first.

Declared insane, the X Man patiently tended his weird plants until the day, impelled by a nameless terror, he fled Wyndmoor Asylum to unleash a cyclone of violence that was destined to suck the mighty Man of Bronze into the blackest, most unbelievable mystery of his entire career. For far from Scotland lay a domain of death unknown to the world and called by the ancient Latin name of Novum Eboracum -- New York! From the wild Scottish moors to the unexplored heart of darkest Africa, Doc Savage and his indomitable men embarked upon a desperate quest for the Forgotten Realm.

Doc is the inspiration for Superman and many other modern superheroes...though he technically does not have any super powers himself. He is the 1920's idea of the pinnacle of human development - physically, mentally, and morally. He is culturally relevant even today - Rusty Venture's father on "The Venture Brothers" on the cartoon network is (comically) based on him. Love Doc Savage books. We want more!

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

    "Worth the Listen"
    Overall

I have always liked Tina Fey - and Bossypants has it's funny moments. However, a lot of her jokes and observations are very womancentric and probably less funny to men. Though she talks about her career and experiences in general, she spends a lot of time on woman-only issues. Tampon and makeup humor anyone? There is a lot of that in there, but the book is funny overall and worth a listen.
