  • The Lion

    • UNABRIDGED (15 hrs and 45 mins)
    • By Nelson DeMille
    • Narrated By Scott Brick
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Detective John Corey now faces his toughest assignment yet: the pursuit and capture of the world's most dangerous terrorist -- a young Arab known as "The Lion" who has baffled a federal task force and shows no sign of stopping in his quest for revenge against the American pilots who bombed Libya and killed his family.

John Robertson says: "What happened to Scott Brick?!!"

Nelson Demille and Scott Brick are a match made in heaven. The characters are so real John Correy is a man's man. I wish more authors were more invested in their characters. As for Scott Brick man could read the phone book and i would be hooked.

  • Undeniable: Undeniable, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 51 mins)
    • By Madeline Sheehan
    • Narrated By Tatiana Sokolov
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with the bikers in the club, this is the only lifestyle she knows. Deuce West is the sexy biker bad-ass of the Hell's Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart.

Jordy says: "Sons of Anarchy on Steroids"

i love this story because the characters and the settings match the environment. the characters start of as friends and as they grow so do their feelings. Loving a biker is hard and the author stays true to nature loving them. Duece is a pain in the a@#$ and doesn't deserve Eva Fox. The huge age difference doesn't bother me because the author does a wonderful job of making it irrelevant (Duece a bit of a neanderthal and making Eva mature). Well worth your money. This is a biker novel expect blood, bad language and all you expect from a mc club. With that in mind it worth every penny/credit.

  • This Man: This Man Trilogy, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (17 hrs and 19 mins)
    • By Jodi Ellen Malpas
    • Narrated By Edita Brychta

Young interior designer Ava O'Shea has no idea what awaits her at the Manor. A run-of-the-mill consultation with a stodgy country gent seems likely, but what Ava finds instead is Jesse Ward - a devastatingly handsome, utterly confident, pleasure-seeking playboy who knows no boundaries. Ava doesn't want to be attracted to this man, and yet she can't control the overwhelming desire that he stirs in her. She knows that her heart will never survive him and her instinct is telling her to run, but Jesse is not willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her.

NEW NAME says: "Power, intensity, true love....I think!"
Would you try another book from Jodi Ellen Malpas and/or Edita Brychta?

Not a very good story teller. I didn't relate to the characters.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Create more real tension not some stupid non existent reason to keep breaking up and having make up sex e.g. the male seems to have a thing about his age or the fact that he is rich or something that could be a real issue.

What didn’t you like about Edita Brychta’s performance?

She could not pull of a convincing male voice

Was This Man worth the listening time?

  • The Darkest Night: Lords of the Underworld, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (13 hrs and 11 mins)
    • By Gena Showalter
    • Narrated By Max Bellmore
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

All her life, Ashlyn Darrow has been tormented by voices from the past. To end the nightmare, she has come to Budapest seeking help from men rumored to have supernatural abilities, not knowing she'll be swept into the arms of Maddox, their most dangerous member - a man trapped in a hell of his own.

    Amazon Customer says: "Keep Trudging..."
    "edit, edit , edit"

This book should be shorter; it takes forever to get to the point. The conversation seems to be forced. Thank god it was on sale.

  • Halfway to the Grave: Night Huntress, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 17 mins)
    • By Jeaniene Frost
    • Narrated By Tavia Gilbert
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father—the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unlikely partnership. In exchange for help finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner…are there actually good vampires?

Stephenie says: "Great series. Worth every credit."
    "loved it!"

I enjoyed the flesh take on vampires i am very selective about my vampire books but this has a good balance. Had to get the next 4 books immediately. Narrate
Tavia Gilbert does a great job with "lower class" English accent for bones.

  • Lover Unbound, The Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 5

    • UNABRIDGED (17 hrs and 25 mins)
    • By J.R. Ward
    • Narrated By Jim Frangione

Suffering a horrific childhood as the son of a Bloodletter in his father's war camp, Vishous pledges death to members of the vampire-hunting Lessening Society. Vishous knows no love. He feels no emotion. He lives only to oppose the slayers. But after suffering a mortal wound, a human surgeon named Dr. Jane Whitcomb tends to him. Her ministrations, however, extend beyond his physical injury - and before long her tender hand has awakened feelings of pleasure that Vishous never dreamed existed.

cmclien says: "Being the bloodletters son says it all..."

The first book in the series is not the best but it gets better and this one is one of the best. V and butch are the best characters. I wish the author would make them sound their age but the stories are so amazing.
