Determined to find justice for her mother, top NYPD Homicide Detective Nikki Heat continues to pursue the elusive former CIA station chief who ordered her execution more than a decade ago. For the hunt, Nikki teams once again with her romantic partner, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Jameson Rook, and their quest for the old spy and the motive behind the past murder unearths an alarming terror plot, which is anything but ancient history. It is lethal. It is now. And it has already entered its countdown phase.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I really enjoy the humor in this series. I also like the fact that it keeps you on your toes and is not something that is easy to figure out.

Internationally renowned thief and con artist Nicolas Fox is famous for running elaborate and daring scams. His greatest con of all: convincing the FBI to team him up with the only person who has ever caught him, and the only woman to ever capture his attention, Special Agent Kate O'Hare. Together they'll go undercover to swindle and catch the world's most wanted - and untouchable - criminals. Their newest target is Carter Grove, a former White House chief of staff and the ruthless leader of a private security agency.

What made the experience of listening to The Chase the most enjoyable?

I enjoy listening to Janet Evanovich's books. However, they are starting to have the same story lines and that is getting a little old.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I like this book and it's content. The narrator though puts me to sleep. I listen to these at work and I can't go to sleep when I am working! I haven't finished it yet for that reason.

Was Inferno: A Novel worth the listening time?

I think it would be a better read than listen.

"Being trapped in a bedroom with a woman is a grand thing. Being trapped in hundreds of bedrooms over two thousand years isn't. And being cursed into a book as a love-slave for eternity can ruin even a Spartan warrior's day. As a love-slave, I know everything about women. How to touch them, how to savor them, and most of all, how to pleasure them. But when I was summoned to fulfill Grace Alexander's sexual fantasies, I found the first woman in history who saw me as a man with a tormented past."

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No. I like to listen to books at work while I am keying information. The person reading is so monotone that he puts me to sleep. You can also tell when he is taking a drink. I really don't care for his readings. I would like to purchase more Dresdon files books, but I don't think I will for this very reason.

How could the performance have been better?

there needs to be some type of inflection in the persons voice. monotone and flat just puts me to sleep.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Probably
