I love the fact that this story has some substance to it, I was familiar with the characters AND the locations. I like books that I can listen to on my way home from work and I can escape into something I enjoy. I think I have a familiar background to Ms. Wax, since we are from the same area. I hope that more books are written using these characters. I LOVED reading about Max and the Millicent. I've been through those awful hurricanes.
Ten Beach Road- this is book is the reason why I read this book.
Yes... I like her voice.
Any of them. I probably could relate to Maddie the most, being a parent.
I loved Max's personality and the fact that he was so attached to the baby. I felt Kira was sort of a brat.
This was hilarious. I loved the stunts. I didn't see them coming. I was cracking up while listening.
The main character.
The perfect voice.
Don't mess with your ex.
I really enjoyed this book. I was hoping there were more like this. I don't really care for the vampire books. Molly Harper is a good author, I enjoy her sarcasm & wit.
Yes! Aimee Bruneau is a PERFECT Melany Middleton. She even does great with the other characters. I have my own image in my mind of each character.
Nola! She has talent, but has a good perspective.
It was interesting reading how Bonnie would appear, but it is was suspenseful wondering where the dolls from the dollhouse would turn up next. Makes me wonder if that could have happened to the dollhouse I had as a kid! :)
I have no idea.. not a good tag line writer... :) Sorry
Great Ghost Story.
I've read all of the other books with Melany Middleton.
I've listened to all of Karen White's books with Aime Bruneau. I wish she would do more!
Melany Middleton or Jeannette. Rebecca got on my nerves.
I wish I'd known earlier these books probably should be read in order. I read return to Tradd Street as the SECOND book. Spoiler! ugh, now I know the ending.. :)
I had a similar reaction to medication several years ago. I could relate to some of her experiences.
I have never read a book like this before.
The main character, by far.
I felt so bad for the character; that she unfortunately had to experience this traumatic event. However, I am thankful she wrote this book to share her story.
She was very brave for sharing her story. Thank you.
I enjoyed the Foodies Fictionary. Not ALL of them were funny, but enough were funny that made me crack up listening to it.
This is the first book like this I've ever read. I would like to try the other ones.
His voice is perfect for this book. I kept imagining HIM as the author.
Various experiments that were actually tried and results reported.
This was interesting. I never imagined putting basic kitchen chemistry into a "Cooking for Dummies." version. It was pretty clever idea.
YES! I had always heard references to this book & never knew what they were talking about. I am so glad I read this book!
The description of the relationship of the family.
The main character by far. I expected blood & gore, but it was not that by any means. The language was not that bad either, which I was glad about.
This was a long book. I had to take breaks, but it had me thinking about the story in between sessions of listening.
Much better than I expected. Hint: the next two don't hold a candle to this book.
This book is a good book, and I'd probably place in the top quarter to middle.
I didn't really have a favorite character.
They were all performed very well. I couldn't really say which one was the best.
Tammy. She is able to see what is going on pretty much all around.
This was pretty much up front and honest about two boys being cared for by their grandmother living on a restricted income. It made me realize that what they referred to as "the hood" was really just a normal community with people working hard just trying to get by the best they can.
I have recommended this book to all my friends. I teach middle school Language Arts. We talk about characteristics of Southern Gothic all the time. (I realize this does not fit entirely into this genre). My husband and I go to Charleston frequently.
I loved the history of the old house. The characters were well flushed out.
Melanie Middleton. There wasn't enough description of Jack to know his entire personality.
Yes, or I sure tried.
It would be interesting to perhaps write from Jacks perspective, or maybe from one of the other characters (after you've read Return to Tradd Street.) if you've read this, read Th e Girl from Lagare Street and THEN Return to Tradd Street. Happy reading.
I really liked Aimee Bruneau's narration. I drive a great deal and I also listen to audible before I go to sleep. I would say this is better than the print version.
This series reminds me almost of southern Gothic. I can't think of other books like this, but I can tell you I really enjoyed this. I just wish I knew to read Girl From Lagare Street before I read this one..
I loved her accent. She was spot on.
Yes!!!!! I love this series. I have one more book to read from this author in my library.
I wish I had known ahead of time to read The Girl From Lagare street before reading this one.
A group of women that all have writing in common come together for a writing awards ceremony. They are all facing difficult situations and possible failing writing careers. These women become supportive of each other as they come to understand the challenges that each other face.
Ten Beach Road and Ocean Beach just because it discussed the lives of four completely diffferent people.
Perhaps looking into the life of the character that lived with her mother and children.
Not as much as I did the other books.
I was slightly disappointed in this book. Perhaps because I had high hopes compared to the other two books I'd read. It is still a good read and I would recommend it, just not as highly as the other ones.
