Poison Princess is a tale that completely captured my heart and soul. Capturing me from as soon as the prologue began... it kept me tangled in a frenzied web of wanting more and more. Even as I neared the last pages of the book I never wanted it to end. I needed to (and still need to) know more and I'd gladly devour another thousand pages of Evie, Jackson and The Arcana Chronicles.
The Arcana Chronicles proves to be a series that will take you on a wild ride with no limits and absolutely no hint of predictability. Poison Princess is brilliantly written from the plot, style, and cast of characters.
The array of characters who fill this novel are hard, compassionate, fierce, sneaky, but ultimately believable. Evie is plagued with hallucinations and terrible nightmares that leave her with a misconstrued view of reality. When her mind-boggling visions of the world's end comes true, as depicted in her drawings, Evie has to find a way to use her mysterious powers to survive. In the meantime, the smoking hot, bad-boy Cajun, Jack, comes around to protect her, even though he may not want to. Their differences and prejudices keep them apart for a good part of the novel, yet their toing-and-froing is tantalizing and definitely entertaining! I fell in love with Jackson Deveaux. I love the Cajun French.
I wish this book was a thousand page longer cause I could not put it down and I was so into the story. I highly recommend this book. The narrators are amazing in this book. Emma Galvin your narration was impecable. Kresley Cole you have done it again! I can't wait for the next book in the series.
This heart thumping series continues and its explosive! Wow, what a roller coaster... I kinda never want to get off it. I hope it keeps going with more books in the series.
Emma Galvin is a very talented narrator and she brings this series to life. Her character voices are incredible, she makes me feel all of the characters trials and tribulations. BRAVO!!!
I'm going to start by saying I love Sylvia Day and the Gideon/Ava Saga.... I've been waiting soo long for this book. I'm a huge fan of the series
However I'm being nice by giving the book 4 stars. Unfortunately, there was very little story and what felt more like lots of filler and sex. It was a fun read nonetheless, but I was really hoping for more.
I loved having the two points of view in this book. Jeremy York (Gideon narrator) did an amazing job with Jill Redfield. I will say that Jill's version of Gideon is still my favorite so kudos to Jill for that.
Amazing Narration by Natalie Gold
Through the Zombie Glass had me reeling for the very beginning. I honestly could not put it down! I was glued to my audiobook. I commend Gena Showalter for her ingenuity on the whole zombie phenomena. Alice is such an amazing female lead, she is brave, has the fighting capabilities of a superhero, is compassionate and loves wholeheartedly. Things get extremely rough for her in this book, and you would think that after brutally losing her family in the first book, things could not get much worse, but oh they sure do.
The suspense kicked up a huge notch in this book. The Ali-Cole relationship is sooo good *sighs/swoons/drools*. I love Cole! He has all the things you could expect from any Alpha Male. There was no doubt in my mind that they belong together, and there are scenes in this book that will just make your toes curl! So readers when things go downhill for Ali and Cole’s relationship, don’t give up hope! The best is yet to come I promise you!!
By the time I finished this book, I was left completely and totally satisfied with the plot and the romance! I absolutely loved this book!!! And I can’t wait to read more, I expect good things from the next book for sure!!
Contains spoilers !!!!!
Loved the narration by Emma Gavin and Aaron Stanford!
This last book in the series was raw, beautifully written, and heartbreaking sad. The ending had me in tears. I really really wanted a happy ending after the struggle that Tris an Four faced but I understand the realities of the world they were in and the consequences that they faced in trying to fix the chaos around them. As much as I hated the ending and that is again cause I wanted a happily ever after, however I thought the writing was beautiful in that the emotions were real and I felt the heartbreak that all the characters faced in trying to restore their broken world and trying to move forward in a new future.
I enjoyed this book. The start of the book took some time to get going and I felt there were parts of the book that were boring though, but overall I can say that it was a good book. The book was entertaining and unique. It was a fresh new take on the zombie genre, but one that is more likely to appeal to fans of paranormal romance than a typical horror reader.
I liked most of the vibrant and interesting characters in this book. I;m looking forward to see how Ali and Cole's relationship evolves. My favorite character in the book was Kat the Best Friend. her character was well written.
I'm looking forward to the next 2nd book.
I liked the Narrator, Natalie Gold. I thought she did a great job on the voices for the characters.
I would never have thought that a book called, Wallbanger would crack me up so much. I guess that's what I get for judging a book by it's cover. This book is so funny, sexy, and cute. I loved it! I was laughing out loud from the beginning. I related to the girlfriends in the book and it cracked me up on how they all interacted with each other. I really loved Alice Clayton did an amazing job writing an awesome book. Read it!! You will love it!
I like the narrator, Heather Smith and thought she did a great job bringing the story to life.
The Mighty Storm’ was a great audio listen story wise as it did sweep me up in to a wave of emotions and I liked it, for sure! The story starts off slow and it really takes a while to develop. I will be getting the sequel when it comes out cause I want to know how the story continues. The story between Tru, Jake, and Will was very close to being what I was hoping but it never did hit that high note. Although the story was good I was hoping for more as the turmoil that there relationship faced was barely touched upon. I think I was looking for more angst in this love story.
I did not like Justin Eyre narration in the beginning and it took me a while to get into the narrators voice as she sounded more like a snobby British girl then a common British girl working at a magazine that was trying to figure out our friendship and eventually love towards Jake. The male voices she did really didn't even sound attractive, but after a long while her voice was just ok and I got through the story.
This was my first time reading Megan Hart and WOW I am a fan!
Dirty is not a light read. It has depth to it and it retains a very erotic edge.
Elle repressed heroine with no color in her wardrobe, no joy in her life. A typical background for such a woman. A hero destined to drag her out of her bleak existence. You've seen it all before, right? Not even close.
Elle is one of the most complex, real characters I've ever read. She diverges from stereotype in unique ways, and resolution is not only difficult to find, it's as complex as the character. At the end of the book you know she still has a lot of work to do...but the most important element of any book for me, hope, is there in spades.
This book isn't a romance, per se, because the focus is on more than the male/female relationship. But it's also the epitome of romance because it's about falling in love and doing the hard work such a fall requires.
This book really had an impressive storyline and I felt like I was on Elle life roller coaster seeing all the up and downs. Megan Hart you have impressed me.
Broken is evocative and deep and disturbing and yet, it's uplifting too. Megan Hart knows how to create compelling characters. Sadie the main character of the story has such emotional depth to her, throughout the book you're there with her in her journey.
Broken is erotic, yes. The sex is integral to the story as a vehicle for Sadie's mental escape and also as a glimpse into Joe. The story is in first person but I really felt I knew Joe and his insecurities as he told his stories. The moments between Sadie and Adam are heartwrenchingly beautiful and skillfully done and the connection between Joe and Sadie is powerful as well.
Broken is a complex book. It's not easy. But it's worth it. Broken is, without question, an amazing book and I truly hope it gets the attention it deserves. It's mindblowing.
Megan is a skilled writer. The story is marvelous and she tells it perfectly. I'm a huge fan!
