If you think you know George Washington, think again. This is the amazing true story of a real-life superhero who wore no cape and possessed no special powers—yet changed the world forever. It's a story about a man whose life reads as if it were torn from the pages of an action novel: Bullet holes through his clothing. Horses shot out from under him. Unimaginable hardship. Disease. Heroism. Spies and double-agents. And, of course, the unmistakable hand of Divine Providence that guided it all.

Louis says: "Much more than I expected!"

What would have made The Betrayed better?

Every story has crime, that is what the books are about, Krewe of Hunters solve crimes. This one was too morbid for me. If Heather Graham is going to start writing this way, this is my last book of hers.

Would you ever listen to anything by Heather Graham again?

I would not listen to anything by Heather Graham if she continues to be so graphic with her descriptions of the crimes. I don't want to hear how some sicko is cutting off people's heads and sticking them on posts.

Where does Havana Storm rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love Clive Cussler. However, I have such a hard time following the narrator in that I had to keep retracing what I had listened to. His voice drones on and on. I think in the future, I will read Clive Cussler's books not listen to them, at least until they get a different narrator.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Havana Storm?

I love the cameo appearances of Clive Cussler in his books and so of course loved the bartender

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Monotone, no emotion. He does a great Hispanic accent though. I kept losing track of where I was in the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Nothing extreme to speak of, a typical Clive Cussler adventure. Always good.

Lunacy was Nate Burke's last chance. As a Baltimore cop, he'd watched his partner die on the street - and the guilt still haunts him. With nowhere else to go, he accepts the job as chief of police in this tiny, remote Alaskan town. Aside from sorting out a run-in between a couple of motor vehicles and a moose, he finds his first few weeks on the job are relatively quiet. But that's about to change.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes, This book started out slow, but picked up and developed into a good story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Northern Lights?

I liked the scene when the bear came up to the house and they rescued the dog from it at their own peril.

Which character – as performed by Gary Littman – was your favorite?

I didn't care a lot for the main character, he went from mysterious to nice to extremely controlling back to nice in a blink and gave the fact he was a cop as the reason.... Lame. I like his girl friend, independent, self sufficient and yet very tender.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I like to listen to all my books that way! But, this one stretched out and that was ok. It took some time to develop the characters.

    Any additional comments?

A little different from Nora Roberts usual. She usually snags you from the get go but not this time, but the ending was good and I was surprised as to who the 'villain' was.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Auschwitz Escape to be better than the print version?

I can not compare the audio and print as I have only listened to it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jacob of course as he was there from the beginning to the end..To watch a young innocent grow to a man that did what he had to do to live and yet keep who he was made me feel so proud of his character and soul.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Actually, at the end when they went to Poland for the 70 year anniversary. To overcome such odds is inspiring.

What made the experience of listening to Exile the most enjoyable?

Trials and tribulations. Standing on your beliefs yet recognizing you need companionship.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Exile?

Going to the gnomes and being accepted.

What does Victor Bevine bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is a good narrator. I have come to enjoy the audible books more than just reading as it comes to life for me.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Just enjoyed the bonding of different species and their loyalties.

    Any additional comments?

One gripe I have is the volume. It goes up and down a lot. I have to keep adjusting the volume and it is annoying. Not to mention cumbersome when I am driving down the road.
