"The BEST Book I have ever read/listened to"

I am deeply depressed this book is over and was so short. I miss my friends now and can't keep my mind off it. I really don't know if I can find a better book or even one that rivals it. Definitely worth the money and time.

Is there really such thing as a lucky charm? The hero of Nicholas Sparks's new novel believes he's found one in the form of a photograph of a smiling woman he's never met, but who he comes to believe holds the key to his destiny. The chain of events that leads to him possessing the photograph and finding the woman pictured in it is the stuff of love stories only a master such as Sparks can write.

    Amber says: "Very enjoyable!!!!"
    "HORRIBLE NARRATOR"

Why does N/S always get the narrator who immitates female voices? I could not make it through for first page of this one. I love N/S books - NOT his audio books thouhg

Why we think it’s a great listen: Got 40 hours to kill? You’ll find the time when you start listening to Lee’s take on Follett’s epic – and widely celebrated – novel of 12th-century England. The Pillars of the Earth tells the story of Philip, prior of Kingsbridge, a devout and resourceful monk driven to build the greatest Gothic cathedral the world has known...of Tom, the mason who becomes his architect - a man divided in his soul...and of the beautiful, elusive Lady Aliena, haunted by a secret shame....

Joseph says: "Good historical setting, but loose story."
"How many tangents can we follow here?"
    Overall

I dumped this book less than half way thru! I am a tolorant reader, and I liked some of the story, but it seemed that the auther had to tell you about every little minute part of EVERYONE's life. So many itmes I asked myself...do we really care? And a descriptive sex scene litteraly less than a few hours of the characters wife dying? How distastful! I hated this book and can not understand why so many people liked it. Truly torturious
