Dellarobia Turnbow is a restless farm wife who gave up her own plans when she accidentally became pregnant at 17. Now, after a decade of domestic disharmony on a failing farm, she encounters a shocking sight: a silent, forested valley filled with what looks like a lake of fire. She can only understand it as a cautionary miracle, but it sparks a raft of other explanations from scientists, religious leaders, and the media.

What made the experience of listening to Flight Behavior the most enjoyable?

The story is very flowing. Sometimes the descriptive phrases seem to be a bit much, but overall they add to the story. It was a nice listening experience.

Have you listened to any of Barbara Kingsolver’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to her before, but she has a beautiful delivery.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

The first day, I was working alone in my studio, and listened for about 6 hours. I would have continued if I didn't have to get back to my life!

    Any additional comments?

This is such a very important message about environmental issues, and the down-to-earth effect they have, or will have on each of us. It really opened my eyes.

Making a living reproducing famous artworks for a popular online retailer and desperate to improve her situation, Claire is lured into a Faustian bargain with Aiden Markel, a powerful gallery owner. She agrees to forge a painting - a Degas masterpiece stolen from the Gardner Museum - in exchange for a one-woman show in his renowned gallery. But when that very same long-missing Degas painting is delivered to Claire's studio, she begins to suspect that it may itself be a forgery. Her desperate search for the truth leads Claire into a labyrinth of deceit where secrets hidden since the late 19th century may be the only evidence that can now save her life.

    Story
What did you like best about Fifty Shades Freed? What did you like least?

The story, in that Anastasia begins to act like an adult.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Read Anastasia as a more mature woman. Even at the projected age of 21, she was described as a no-nonsense character. But the performance turned her into a woman-child.

Did Fifty Shades Freed inspire you to do anything?

    No.

    Any additional comments?

I couldn't wait for this to be over. If it was about a book and a half long, it would have been much better. Gotta give it E.L.James though, he can write pornography.

What made the experience of listening to Fifty Shades Darker the most enjoyable?

    I enjoyed the story.

Did Becca Battoe do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes, she did a good job with all the characters. But Anastasia sounded like she was a 15 yr. old.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This will make you tired of pornography.
