Linda Lael Miller’s New York Times best-selling contemporary Western romances have found a place in the hearts of listeners worldwide. Creed’s Honor stars Connor Creed, a rancher reluctantly carrying on his uncle’s legacy in Lonesome Bend, Colorado. For years he’s sacrificed his own dreams to fulfill the promise he made to his uncle. But everything changes when his wild, estranged twin brother re-enters his life—and then there’s the beautiful Tricia McCall, who stirs feelings of passion deep within Connor’s soul.

    Story

Easy to start and stop listening to because the story is predictable and not very deep. Great for the 15 minute ride to work. There were some funny parts but mostly just a predictable romance. I bought it because it was on sale for a great price...you get what you pay for.

Michelle Maxwell has just blown her future with the Secret Service. Against her instincts, she let a presidential candidate out of her sight to comfort a grieving widow. Then, behind closed doors, the politician whose safety was her responsibility vanished into thin air.

    Story

This is the first book in the series and I enjoyed hearing how it all started for Sean and Michelle. I've read a couple of the other books in the series so it was great to go back to the beginning to find out how both characters left their jobs as Secret Service agents and how they met each other. I'm from Virginia and I love Baldacci's inclusion of Virginia landmarks and key cities in the story. The story includes Baldacci's signature plot twists and turns and just a hint of romance. I looked forward to getting into my car each day to hear more of the story.

Have really enjoyed listening to this story. I've had to listen to it over the course of a month and it has been easy to pick up the story line and characters quickly after being away for several days (or even weeks.) I really enjoy the Sean and Michelle characters and the series of books Baldacci has written about them. Two thumbs up.

He's the most unlikely hero you'll ever meet, an ordinary guy with a modest job you might never look at twice. But there's so much more to any of us than meets the eye, and that goes triple for Odd Thomas. For Odd lives always between two worlds in the small desert town of Pico Mundo, where the heroic and the harrowing are everyday events. Odd never asked to communicate with the dead, it's something that just happened.

Where does Forever Odd rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Definitely ranks in the top 10

What did you like best about this story?

The narrator was very engaging and really held my attention. I liked the difference in voices for the characters. Dean Koontz is a very detailed, descriptive writer and it translates well for this audio book. I was able to easily imagine the various locations and characters in the story.

Have you listened to any of David Aaron Baker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    This is my first listen.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The caring he had and expressed for his friend Danny, particularly at the end of the story when he said he needed to be the one to break the news of Danny's father's death.

    Any additional comments?

Loved this book! I read the first Odd Thomas book and was a little concerned about how this would translate to audio book. No worries, it was performed beautifully and kept me engaged through the entire story.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Engaging story and easy to follow along with while driving on a long trip.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hot Six?

When she's at the police department with Mooner, and her car catches on fire.

What about Debi Mazar’s performance did you like?

She gave authenticity to the Stephanie Plum character with her east coast accent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not necessarily, but I can say that for all of the audio books I listen to. After about two hours of listening, I need to take a break.
