I have read and enjoyed other books by Crais, but I just didn't love this one. I did finish the book, but mainly because I was out of credits and waiting on new ones.
I love how he weaves anthropological fact into his works of fiction. His stories fascinate me, or maybe it's the forensic details...either way, I'm hooked!
I may be obsessed, but I say, you can't go wrong with a Stephen King title. He tells the story like no other.
If you're looking for a good short horror story, you can't go wrong with Sleepy Hollow. Tom Mison does an excellent job with the narrating it also.
The story is difficult to follow at times. I think it's a combination of the narration and the writing. It's just hard to want to listen to. I couldn't finish it. At least I can get my credit back. I've listened to many true crime books. This book was awful.
I love Stephen King. Years ago, I would never have guessed that I would have become a fan, but he is an amazing story teller.
Another great book from King. I loved all the characters and the way the story unfolds in the book. I would have given it 5 stars, but I thought it was a little long and drawn out. Still a great listen.
Nelson DeMille is a great writer, John Corey is my all time favorite character and Scott Brick provides excellent narration! I have already read the whole John Corey series, but enjoyed it so much, I thought I would see what Scott Brick brought to the table. Definitely not disappointed!
I enjoyed the book, however, I did not care the for the narrator. He makes all rednecks sound like dumbest people on earth.
Nearly every one of his books that I read makes me a bigger fan. He catches your attention early on and holds on to it. Will Patton has become my favorite narrator. I can't say enough about how much I liked this book!
I really enjoy listening to the Lincoln Rhymes series (The Bone Collector). However, this was not one of his best. Joe Mantegna does a good job narrating, but the story itself did not hold my attention well.
