I really wanted to like this book. I listened to over 10 hours and refused to torture myself any longer. So disappointed. I would have given it 0 stars if I could have. I'll get my credit back but I can't do anything about the time I wasted!
This book drags in some spots, picks up, then slows again, but the ending is the overall redeeming reason I have it 3 stars.
Definitely not what I usually listen to, but glad I read the reviews! It immediately grabs your attention. I couldn't stop listening!
SO FREAKING FUNNY! If you have children, you need to read/listen to this book. Certain parts of the book made me laugh so hard, I nearly peed my pants.
I can't really pinpoint why I disliked this book so much. I think because the overriding theme was so depressing. I am a big King fan, but just did not like this book. The best thing it had going for it is David Morse' performance. I believe he portrayed the idea a Stephen King wanted, it's just a really depressing story. I know his books don't generally tell “happy" stories, but this one was just different and sad.
Hysterical! I seriously horse laughed at certain parts of this book! It's real life humor and situations that I loved so much that I immediately bought his book How to Talk to a Widower. Btw, the movie was not near as good as the book.
Pretty good listen. I enjoyed the story, it's just a little dated. It was a daily deal, so definitely worth $3!
I bought this after listening to This is Where I Leave You, and I was not disappointed! Same humor, same real life situations. Great listen!
My first Lisa Unger, definitely not my last. I can't say much without running the story, but there's several twist and surprises that will knock your socks off!
I bought this book because it was a daily deal. It was only a few bucks. It does grab your attention right away, but it's just not the type I normally read. I usually read mystery/thrillers. This had more of a sci fy feel.
I bought this book because I listened to In the Blood, and loved it. This book did not hold my attention. I've quit listening for hours hoping that a book will get better. If it doesn't grab me in the first couple of chapters, forget it!
