What did you like about this audiobook?

It was a good story with good narration.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

I don't feel compelled to continue with the series, but if I catch them on sale, I would probably go for book 2.

Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?

The story has good ideas, nice characters, and good execution. I just think it feels a bit boring.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

Not wrong - I could listen to her, she was not the best.

Do you have any additional comments?

This is an okay time traveler, but there are just so many better ones (ie - Knight in Shining Armor& KMM Highlanders)

Murdering his way through a string of women in the swamps of Baton Rouge, Jon Walker made a notorious name for himself as the Bayou Butcher. But his reign of terror ended when US Marshal Anthony Ross and District Attorney Lauren Chandler put the crazed killer away for multiple lifetimes…and discovered they shared a passion for more than just justice. Five years later, after duty has driven Lauren and Anthony apart, the Butcher breaks out of prison, ready to get back to his deadly business—beginning with Lauren.

Would you try another book from Cynthia Eden and/or Emily Beresford?

Yes, but I think I will read the next one and see if it was the narration or the story that bugged me. There were many places in the story line that I felt had giant, neon signs pointing out the next victim or plot point. I did like the suspense elements and the Bayou location. I found the bad guy appropriately creepy and unlike some of the other listeners, I thought the romance was well done.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Emily Beresford?

Maybe. I have listened to narrators that I disliked MUCH more than I disliked Ms. Breseford. There was just something about her reading that prevented me from enjoying this book. The male voice was too aggressive, some of the southern accents didn't make sense, and some characters came across as really angry/hysterical for no reason.

Was Fear for Me worth the listening time?

Yes, but just barely. I had to keep after myself to finish this one.

What did you love best about The Scarlet Thread?

That is hard to say. I loved almost everything about this book. But, I think I liked the concept of redemption/forgiveness in marriage the most. Sierra and Alex's romance and challenges felt almost too real at times. Wonderful

Which character – as performed by Angela Rogers and Alma Cuervo – was your favorite?

She did a fantastic reading of all of the characters. I also liked the reader for Mary Katherine's story very much.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no. I did listen to this almost in one sitting, but I was very sad to see the story end.

    Any additional comments?

If you enjoy inspirational romance, then don't on this one. Very worthwhile purchase.

Would you listen to What a Wallflower Wants again? Why?

Absolutely. The characters were wonderful. They both stayed true to who they were and they managed to build a strong relationship by working through real issues. I highly recommend this book. The narrator was perfect.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The first time they are intimate with each other is one of the most romantic love scenes I have read.

    Any additional comments?

This book deals with some very sensitive issues. I loved it, but the story may not be for everyone.

Would you try another book from Molly MacRae and/or Emily Durante?

    Oh no

What was most disappointing about Molly MacRae’s story?

This was billed as a "haunted" yarn shop - I didn't get that at all. This felt like it was written as a very weak mystery and then they tossed in the paranormal/crafting elements as a complete afterthought. The main character was wishy washy and the story was completely forgettable.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    Narration was okay.

    Any additional comments?

I like the premise, but she just got on my last dang nerve! Seriously, she was an ER nurse? Cause anyone that prone to adolescent behavior should not be permitted to dispense medication. She was too "Bridget Jones" for me and I just don't like her. There was a scene with the beautician that made me smile. Maybe there could be a book about her?

If you could sum up Concealed in Death in three words, what would they be?

    Formula that works

What did you like best about this story?

These are always about the team. I have been reading this series for so long now, when a new one come along it feels like a chance to catchup with old friends. Eve, Roarke, Peabody....seriously, I just read these now just to see how everyone is doing.

What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She IS J.D Robb/ Eve. No one else could ever do this series as well.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really. This is one of her more forgettable ones. The "mystery" was not mysterious and actually, I found that plot line rather depressing. It was nice to see everyone again, but nothing new going on here.

What did you love best about Dreams of a Dark Warrior?

I love the Valkyrie. They all have such vivid personalities.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dreams of a Dark Warrior?

Reign is such a vivid character. I can picture her tiny, glowing figure in the midst of a great hall of massive warriors. Declan was obviously unworthy, but sometimes, our best friends don't always pick the ones we think they deserve.

Have you listened to any of Robert Petkoff’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

About the same. He is very good.

I want to be a. Valkyrie! I want to be part of their snarky, sarcastic, butt kicking, gem filled, video gaming world!
