I love the entire series and was so let down by this short and underwritten book. The book could have been great but LKH did not care. I will say that because I have read and listened to this series multiple times and know she is a much better writer than this book displayed. It was word for word repetitive of past books, leaving me to irritated to have to listen to the exact same thing I paid for in a previous book. The storyline, what was there, was okay to a huge let down. The majority of this book felt like filler, which I don't mind if the plot eventually pays off and the book is longer than 300 pages. This did not. A huge villian in the past three books was met and defeated in a few paragraphs at the end, shame on LKH and the editors.
Didn't read print version, but narrator was great.
It was a good story that carries nicely from the first installment. I felt like it ended with more story to go. I read many series and there is a difference in a full story, an unfinished story and a cliffhanger(which I despise). This was an unfinished story leading to the next book which I find irritating because I feel kind of ripped off, like they just want more money for another book instead of finishing the current one.
I leave it up to you to find yours.
Yes but hate spoilers so not telling.
If you like this author you will enjoy the book which is the 2nd installment of the Night Prince series. I have liked this series which is connected to the Night Huntress series but does not have the humor found in the later, which I miss.
If you have money and/or the credits to use, this is a great book in the series. Very dissapointed in the 2 credit issue. This book is not long enough to justify the extra costs.
I found the book to be slow paced and frankly, boring. I had no issues with the reader. I frequently repeat listening to books I enjoy and can not imagine listening to this one again. Waste of credits for me.
Not my favorite, but still an entertaining story.
Found myself laughing as usual.
