If you enjoy gay romance novels then this book is one you just can not pass by.
Even though the setting of the audiobook made me think twice about purchasing the book, it was just the exact place and people that just made the story.
The characters may have their flaws, but the love, hope and sense of family throughout the entire book is pure joy and had me crying on many occasions. I cried at the very end, not just because of the ending, but because I felt so much a part of the characters lives and I had witnessed their growth and pain, it felt like that I myself as losing friends and family. I just wanted it to continue.
I immediately went out and purchased the paper back and the next installment of the series and Amy Lane jumped to my favourite author of all time.
This is one audiobook that I do not regret purchasing, not even for a second.
The story and its pagan rituals are interesting to say the least, but the narration is absolutely horrendous! There is no pauses where there should be, like paragraph breaks, leaving confusion on what just happened.
The story would have been much more engaging if the narration was better.
