When young magicians Carter and Sadie Kane learned how to follow the path of the Ancient Egyptian gods, they knew they would have to play an important role in restoring Ma’at (order) to the world. What they didn’t know is how chaotic the world would become. The Chaos snake Apophis is loose and threatening to destroy the Earth in three days’ time. The magicians are divided. The gods are disappearing, and those who remain are weak. What are a couple of teenagers and a handful of young trainees to do?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I love these types of books. They draw you into the history of the story that is being written. The performers on this one were great and did the best that they could to cover the difference between the people in the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sadie Kane is my favorite. She is an absolute firecracker and her love/hate of Walt/Anubis/Carter are absolutely hilarious.

Have you listened to any of Katherine Kellgren and Kevin R. Free ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, This is the first from these performers and I really did enjoy it. It is hard to get all the characters down but they tried and made it fun.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

None the movies are never ever as good as the books! I would rather read them then see them.

Sydney Sage is an alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of humans and vampires. They protect vampire secrets - and human lives. In the Indigo Spell, Sydney was torn between the alchemist way of life and what her heart and gut were telling her to do. And in one breathtaking moment that Richelle Mead fans will never forget, she made a decision that shocked even her...But the struggle isn't over for Sydney. As she navigates the aftermath of her life-changing decision, she still finds herself pulled in too many directions at once.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Fiery Heart to be better than the print version?

No, I love to imagine what the people's voices sound like. My imagination is mine alone! It was still good and would listen to again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really have a hard time picking a favorite character in any book but I think in this series I would have to choose Adrian as my favorite. He is so different in each chapter and there are so many levels to his personality and we have yet to even see them all. Can not wait for the 5th book in this series to be released. Will definitely buy it!

What about Emily Shaffer’s performance did you like?

The dictation was ok. There was not a huge difference in the character sounds and fluctuations. I usually listen to the books on my drive to and from work as well as at work and it was hard to tell sometime who was talking. There just was not enough difference in the accents and sounds of the voices.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to the book all in one sitting. I loved the story and the book itself.

    Any additional comments?

I think that if there was additional time taken to put different sounds or accents to each character would have made this book just that much better to listen to.

Landover was a genuine magic kingdom, with fairy folk and wizardry, just as the advertisement promised. But after he purchased it, Ben Holiday learned that there were a few details the ad had failed to mention.

The kingdom was in ruin. The Barons refused to recognize the king, and the peasants were without hope.

What did you love best about Magic Kingdom for Sale - Sold!?

Terry Brooks is a great go to author!!! He is amazingly detailed and his stories are absolutely enthralling!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Magic Kingdom for Sale - Sold!?

The story as a whole is great! You have to finish in order to fully appreciate the book.

Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first and I really liked the way that it was read. There were many different accents and voices that were perceived in the dictation.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

None the movie would not be as good! They never are.

    Any additional comments?

I know that there are other comments on Dick Hill's dictation not being a very good dictation of the book. I feel that he has done a great job on the book. The characters had the right amount of surprise, excitement, sadness, etc... Each character carried it's own accent and sound which made it easy to differentiate between the characters while listening to the book. I have read this book many times on my own and will now listen to it over and over again. Great job to everyone involved.
