When members of a prominent family disappear from a coal-mining village - and a human eyeball is discovered in a bird's nest - the local constable sends for help from Scotland Yard's new Murder Squad. Fresh off the grisly 1889 murders of The Yard, Inspector Walter Day and Sergeant Nevil Hammersmith respond, but they have no idea what they're about to get into. The villagers have intense, intertwined histories. Everybody bears a secret. Superstitions abound. And the village itself is slowly sinking into the mines beneath it.

Strong telepath Elle Drake has gone missing. Even her six magical sisters cannot find her. They all agree that she is alive and something terrible must have happened or she would have contacted them. Jackson Deveau, a deputy sheriff in the small village of Sea Haven, off the northern California coast, has known that Elle is destined for him. When she disappears, he gathers with his friends, Jonas Harrington and Ilya Prakenskii, and Elle's sisters to find her and bring her safely home.

What disappointed you about Hidden Currents?

Twenty minutes describing oral sex, really?

What was most disappointing about Christine Feehan’s story?

The redundancy of the story was brutal. If I had to hear someone be called "baby" one more time, I was going to throw up.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The end.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Hidden Currents?

The never ending play by play of oral sex. Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude, but if I want graphic details of someone having sex, I'll go somewhere else.

    Any additional comments?

I'm so disappointed in this book!!!!!!!
