The theme of this four-day retreat: "It's Always Now" The Now is inseparable from who you are at the deepest level. It is the prerequisite of Being. As you listen to the words on this tape, you participate in the retreat. To "retreat" means to step back - not only from the outer world, but also from the world in your head, the thinking mind. Allow the sound of the words to take you beyond words and beyond sound to the stillness within.

Start with "The Power of Now" and then follow with this recording of a retreat he hosted. I have noticed comments about the man laughing in the background of the audio. I will admit that it is challenging to get past the distraction, but I would argue that it just drives Eckhart's point home even stronger, and if you were truly in the present while listening, it wouldn't bother you as much. Use it as a method to bring your focus even closer to what he is teaching, as well as a way to make yourself more "transparent" to the annoyances that occur in our everyday lives.

With some of the most spine-chilling scenes in modern suspense fiction, Bait guarantees the listener a roller coaster ride with a hero not afraid to cross the line. Life for narcotics detective Jack Walsh is one continuous drunken binge - until one blurry night when his car veers into an oncoming car, killing the son of Boston’s premier crime boss. Now Jack must decide if he wants to hide from D’Angelo’s vengeful compatriots or reclaim his life.

I can't recommend this book enough. I am worn out by the cop drama books because they are they are just the same old stories time and again. This particular book shocked me because it puts a brand new spin on that particular genre. The reason I downloaded this book was that I have yet to be disappointed by anything Muller has read, and I was pleased once again. The author jumps around a bit between characters making the book confusing at the start; just enjoy the ride. It will all make sense in the end, and you will love the style, I promise! Take a risk with this obscure author, you will not regret it!

Anything written by Saki needs to be taken with a degree of "open-mindedness". This particular short story is not his absolute best, but definitely worth a listen. The performance was decent. It is a difficult task to add more than just narration to an audio performance and have it come across with the desired intention. If you are in the mood to listen to a short story with a shocking twist at the end, this little piece is perfect for you. If you enjoy Saki, I recommend his stories: Laura and Tobermory.

To make the journey into The Power of Now you need to leave your analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. Access to the Now is everywhere - in the body, the silence, and the space all around you. These are the keys to enter a state of inner peace.

Such a wonderful book. Eckhart's voice is mesmerizing, as well as his message. If you are fervently searching for a way out of pain in your life, or you have just reached a point of spiritual wandering, The Power of Now will bring you into conscious being and stillness. A recommendation is to try this book with an open mind. Eckhart's message is valuable for atheists, Christians, and every religious belief in between.
