When Navy SEAL Adam Brown woke up on March 17, 2010, he didn’t know he would die that night in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Afghanistan - but he was ready: In a letter to his children, not meant to be seen unless the worst happened, he wrote, "I’m not afraid of anything that might happen to me on this earth, because I know no matter what, nothing can take my spirit from me."

Great story, tragic loss but a well told story.

First book I read the reviews and just bought not knowing anything else about it and was completely delighted.

An innocent man is about to be executed. Only a guilty man can save him. Travis Boyette is such a man. In 1998, in the small East Texas city of Sloan, he abducted, raped, and strangled a popular high-school cheerleader. He buried her body so that it would never be found, then watched in amazement as police and prosecutors arrested and convicted Donté Drumm, a local football star, and marched him off to death row.

Surprising for Grisham, but just not an interesting book. I think it was read well, but I really just wished I had the abridged version, as it would have reduced my waste of time. I love Grisham's other books but this seemed to be mostly a political position piece on the death penalty without the story to back it up interestingly.
